Don't even go there? Do you know how industries that are cited in Lagos? Do you her IGR? The only state with seaport & international airport. All the companies in Nigeria have their office if not head office at Lagos. The governor is doing well but he supposed to pay more than 85k. 70k paid to a worker in Abia, Ondo, Bayelsa and Kebbi is more than 100k paid to worker living in Lagos.

Some of you can't even differentiate states economy strength. If Lagos and FCT doesn't pay her workers up to ₦100k minimum wage, how would workers survive. One room a a parlour in Lagos is up to ₦500k, meaning workers have to save 6 months of their salary to upset house rent for a year. We don't talk of other miscellaneous expenses like children school fees, feeding, transport fairs, extended family expenses etc.
Now, look at it this way. The same house that is up to ₦500k in Lagos, is just less than ₦200k in another states and some states could even be less than that.
Comparing the incomparable shows some of you doesn't know simple comparative advantage and economy viability of each state.

Look the truth is: even if Lagos and fct pay up to 200k as minimum wage, Nigerians would always find a way to inflate prices cos they now know there's a new minimum wage. Na we dey do ourselves. Another thing is Lagos is obviously above the rest even without the natural resources some of them have. Lagos government has a clear pattern and it has helped the state grow over the years. Look at Delta state that has rich deposits of crude oil. That state should be competing with Lagos in terms of infrastructure and welfare but look what's happening. Corruption everywhere. Some states are even trying but there are some I see and I just shake my head. Believe me, some state governors have impoverished their states just to fill their pockets and that's why lots of them aren't happy with LG autonomy. It's not impossible for any other state to replicate what Lagos is doing most especially the oil rich states

Aside the critical issue you mentioned, which is very common in Nigeria. Nigerians are always known to taken advantage of situations and inflict injuries on the fellow citizens. It is a known fact that standard of living in some state have always been high for decades. That has been the standard for those states, not for anything but because of the economy and political stream of those states. The chiefest of the states are Lagos, FCT and Rivers. As at 2009 when I was in Abuja, a room self con was ₦300k at Kubwa and almost ₦700k at the heart of Abuja. Today I am.cog sure the same a room self con in Kubwa will be running to half of a million or more than that and almost a million in the heart of Abuja, no doubt about that.

Meanwhile, Lagos State is also earning well in allocation because before you count up to 7 states in allocation, Lagos will be among them. This aside the internally generated revenue to the state with huge borrowing stake of the state. Aside the limited landmass and population.
If the resources that have been pumped into Lagos in the last 25 years, if it were used judiciously as required, by now, Lagos should have turned to Dubai. Lagos resources does not commensurate with the development on ground. Too much wastefulness and embezzlement unaccounted for.

This is the problem of some of you, you don't want people to talk about the resources readily available in Lagos. From time immemorial Lagos have been housing different companies, not because it just started 20 or 30 years ago. Till date virtually all the headquarters of all.major companies are resident in Lagos. Quote any company or national organisation that doesn't have their headquarters in Lagos, that should be few.
Tell me any state with viable two seaports, none. Not because the seaports just began 20 or 30 years ago, they are seaports that have been there for decades, even during colonial era.
I know of array of textile industries still functioning today in Lagos, not because they just built or established them. They have been there for decades.
Let us leave and set aside airport. How many states with functional international airport in Nigeria? The federal government so concentrated the international flow to Lagos. Let the same FG decentralise these effects to other states and see the development that will spring up in those states too.
Lagos State effects makes those administering it to be like supermen but in essence they are failure personified outside Lagos.
Aregbesola have had the privilege to govern a state and also manage a federal ministry. He was an average man in that state because he plugged the state to monumental debt and also scattered ministry of interior.
Fashola have had the privilege of managing two federal ministries. Remember he was nicknamed Mr. Darkness then because what he meant he could not sustained it. He even did averagely in the ministry of works but he could not performed the magic ward he did in Lagos at that ministry.
Fashola was the same man that said if any government cannot provide electricity for her citizens in one or two years, such government is a failure. He thought, Nigeria is a Lagos but he doesn't know that Lagos is no Nigeria. He failed woefully in providing reasonable power during his stint.
What of Tunde Fowler. That one was even sacked from FIRS. This is a man that was at the heart of tax drive for Tinubu during his tenure but he failed gallantly when he was hired to manage FIRS.
Today what has been the impact of those Lagos boys that have worked for Tinubu in Lagos. It has always been failure and failure at the large scene. Cardoso and Edu don't even know the direction to go again.
I just gave these few just to let you know that Lagos effects and mini population made them to be superstars and not because they have two heads or they are geniuses.
What of their oga patapata, Tinubu. What has been his impact in Nigeria. Well, Tinubu was even a failure as a governor. Fashola achievements overshadowed his failure. As I always say, if Fashola and Tinubu are to contest for presidency today, Fashola will overshadow him because he will not have what to use to campaign.

I don tire! When did mtn entered Nigeria? Where is there head office? Is it that you are not aware that Lagos is already structured for business to trive in it? I asked you is there any business in Nigeria that doesn't have their office in Lagos? Does Abuja have seaport? Is Abuja British colony? So you think it was Nigerian that planned the structure of Lagos!
Lagos is already prepared for business to succeed in them, no business man wants to loose. Any business that entered Nigeria will go there. Why did Dangote built his refinery at Lagos? You think it is because of Fashola? The British made Lagos the hob of Nigeria and so will it be.
