The service is not for free. NK is always under threat from America. Russia will equally send troops to fight for NK should they be faced with conflict in future. This is why South Korea is worried.

South Korea and north Korea are getting more and more hostile with each other. So South Korea jumped on the opportunity of the baseless claim from Zelensky and just repeated it. The aim is for NATO to back South Korea against North Korea by pretending that doing so is actually a way to help Ukraine. I'm not sure that this was what zelensky was hoping for when he made his baseless claim.

NATO has been sending troops into Ukraine secretly for long and France is now openly mobilizing to send soldiers to Ukraine. So Russia has allies too! Not only NK, there is China and Iran plus all its proxies. So do the west want broader conflict or what?
As for soldiers dying, Russia lost 21million people fighting Nazi Germany. How can they fold their hands and watch Nazism return and thrive in Ukraine, with the funding and support of the west? Especially when Russia believes that it was a failure not to tackle Hitler earlier as he was rising, as that would have saved them the 21million who died later. If u don’t sacrifice now, it would be bigger and more painful down the road, wot u will have to give.
