[quote author=semid4lyfe post=132495303]T-Pain jet-settin', yacht life on the sea, While the economy's sinkin', drownin’ in debris. Private jet flyin’, but we barely takin' off, Inflation at the table, even bread ain't soft. INEC rigged the ballot, Edo played like a game, Votes flipped like the yachts, but the struggle stays the same. Obi tryna guide us, but they clipped his wings, While Don Jazzy dropped a milli, VDM gets the bling. Bobrisky in the cell, but the real charade's clear, House of Reps actin' foolish, they ain't sincere. Yahoo boys countin' rituals like a daily prayer, Police taxin' people, extortion everywhere. Hookups risin', hustle ain't legit, Wizzy vs Davido, throwin' subs with a hit. Dangote’s refinery promises the cure, But NNPC's scarce fuel got us beggin' for more. Unknown Gun Men like shadows in the night, Bandits flexin' ransom, TikTokin' for likes. Boko Haram still lurkin', kidnappers on the prowl, IPOB agitatin', but who’s listenin’ now? Food prices soaring, can't keep up with the tag, Education and healthcare stuck in a lag. Grid collapsin', darkness grips the nation, Tariffs so high, it’s killin’ aspiration. Peter Obi had the dream, but it’s T-Pain’s reign, Luxuries for him, while we feel the strain. They live in the clouds, while we fight for the ground, Nigeria's cryin’ loud, but no answers found[/quoteic this guy see emilokan one on one ehn🤣🤣🤣 |

It's crazy how some people are comfortable with being paid only 12 times in 365 days. Only 12 times in a whole fvcking 365 days!. That's fvcked up. |

TemporaryHansel:There's nothing wrong with getting paid 12 times in 365 days, it's the quantum of what U get paid at the end of the year that really matters. You may do business and not make some salary earners' gross annual salary as Ur income for 2 years sef. 😂 A friend who works in an indigenous oil and gas company was telling me about the salary of an Executive director that just joined them. The man's annual gross is about 134m ; that's like 11m per month. Now tell me , is anything wrong in getting paid 11m 12 times in a year when u are within Ur late 40's / early 50's? Not to talk of other allowances like profit sharing, profitability bonus, etc? He has a very big SUV as official vehicle o |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by TemporaryHansel(m): 1:32pm On Oct 19, 2024 |
BlueRayDick:Not all. That's a very nice salary. Anything above 3m monthly in this country is very very nice. |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 2:01pm On Oct 19, 2024 |
raumdeuter:I think there's a misconception out there among our people that if do 9 to 5, you can never really be successful like the average businessman. It is on that premise the whole talk about getting paid 12times a year being a bad thing came from. There are enough number of big boys on LinkedIn that made very good money from just doing 9-5. They can easily buy any choice property in any location they decide in the country. Boys that worked in foreign operations and treasury departments of financial institutions that made money trading and their salary still dey there. |

BlueRayDick:Na aspire to perspire merchant dey demonize 9 to 5. Every business you need significant capital to start. A broke post NYSC boy can get a job and become great from 9-5. If you know how many guys with nothing and just came to Lagos post NYSC with kne bag and now having properties from 9-5. You can use the capital you raise from 9-5 to fund your business idea I know many of my peers over 40 that are doing great in this country from 9-5 and I know many too that went into business and have failed Business is not for the faint hearted. Out of 10 businesses started only 3 survive beyond 2yrs and likely only 1 will make it big after 5yrs. That is money down the drain. Some may never recover from it What some people call business in Nigeria is simply govt patronage where you don't have to deliver anything just collect money and go. One friend was chasing a 500m Naira govt contract and they told him he has to settle with about 200m. He said he won't be able to deliver with 300m and they told him that "Shebi na we go sign off on the project, just do small thing" I warned him that if you get away with it today, another govt will come who won't know those in power today. And na your name and signature collect the money. Na you efcc go dey find about. His wife dey thank me for speaking sense into him but other friends especially in Naija dey tell am say Nothing dey happen collect am. Na the Naija business model be that For one Alaba merchant wey blow, pepper enter the nose and eyes of 9 Even banking business of 10 banking whizkids wey start with Ovia and Atedo, how many of them don pack up in the last 35yrs |

GloriousGbola:The entire 500m is barely over $300k na him you go be fugitive all over the world. Shey you wan tell EFCC say you settle this Director or this perm sec? When receipt no dey and no evidence. That's if people no even off you in the process of lobbying and carrying money around And like Yorubas will say Eni to ba ja Ole lekan, ti oba da aran bori, aso Ole lo da bora Anyone wey steal even just once if he wears expensive clothes anytime in his lifetime, he would be always referred to as a thief In most cases all those going to Naija to chase deals is just a mirage. Only 5% ever succeed at it The wife just dey shout say Talk to your friend before he turns me to a widow. |
