Lance008:Yes, you can but not recommended. Chances of visa refusal is 95% when you apply to colleges. Go for BSc or Masters. |

@NB1912, I am considering pursuing my Masters degree in either Canada or Australia (I am partial to Australia though) by next year (2025) having graduated this year (2024). But with the current negative visa trend in Australia, I am a bit discouraged, do you think it's worth trying the Australian route anyways or taking my chance with Canada instead as I already have a sibling studying in Canada already. Patriottt:While the current student visa rejection rate is high, there are still chances that your visa can be approved if you provide enough evidence to justify the grant of a visa. The two most important evidence are your ability to pay your fees and evidence that you will return home after your studies. To give yourself a chance, I will recommend you only apply to AL1 schools which might be expensive. Canada is not a bad choice and the tuition fees is more affordable than Australia. There are plenty of opportunities in Canada. However, whether you want to proceed with Australia or settle for Canada, the choice is yours! |

Hello all, I have been granted full scholarship for my PhD at WSU. I have a short window to apply for visa as I am to resume in Jan. I already have the COE from the school, but these are my queries: How much has to be in my SOA if I am attaching one. Or if I need to attach any at all, given the full scholarship, which includes living expenses of $35k yearly. Do I need to attach IELTS as the school did not require it. And I heard it is exempted for PhDs. Ties include an affidavit stating that I have inherited land; a company which I am shareholder and director. The CEO has written that I will be returning to work as COO. I also am a secretary of an arts community, while holding an appointment with a state governor. How does this profile look and what else might hamper visa approval. Waiting for your responses, my Egbons. |

For the SOA, it depends. Generally, with a full scholarship, an SOA might not be necessary. Butt adding an SOA with sufficient funds can help strengthen your application, demonstrating financial stability. If you choose to include an SOA,my advice is to have a SOA of not less tgan AUD30,000 To be safer, add the IELTS test scores For your home ties, include all the relevant documents, affidavits etc Ikechukwu09: |

Hello all. I’ve been a silent reader on this thread for quite sometime and now I want to lodge my visa application and I have a few questions. Firstly is it compulsory I attach my personal bank statements? (Note: I don’t have any payslips to show for work and my dad is my sponsor). Secondly, can I show personal employment evidence with ONLY an employment letter(without payslips) ? Lastly, do I submit ONLY the sponsor’s account containing the funds? Or another bank account can be added(still the sponsor’s own). Really hope to get a reply soon Regards🙏 |

Ikechukwu09:Hello, congratulations on your scholarship. Please do you have academic publications before you were granted the scholarship and which journal Q1-Q4? Thanks |
| Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Ikechukwu09(m): 12:40pm On Nov 13, 2024 |
Okupevi1985:I didn't have any publication but I have good research experience across non-profit, public and private companies. I thought my not having a publication would spoil things, but my supervisors really had faith in me. |

Ikechukwu09:wow this is great. This is what is holding me back from applying to Australia for PhD because I didn't have publication. |
| Re: General Australian Student Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Kingdave007: 6:02am On Nov 14, 2024 |
Okupevi1985:Yes, they look out for publications and proven resesrch experience for PHD applicants, especially those seeking scholarships. Either one or the other or both can work. Usually, once a school accepts your application, and offers you a spot.. you have a good chance at getting a Visa. But that also depends on the tier of the University you want to attend sonI always advice to add all relevant documents. Ikechukwu09:Congratulations @Ikechukwu09, how's the Visa processing coming along? |

I have applied, waiting for response. My full scholarship was from the government, so I was exempted from paying application fee. Kingdave007: |
