If you go to some Christian weddings, you may hear worldly songs during the reception. Some churches too may sing or change some worldly songs into Christian songs.. If someone corrects them, they may say "Christianity is in the heart, and on that day we go see who enter heaven" ..

The truth is that a Christian loving worldly songs is fake. You may speak in tongues, cry during worship etc. But if you love worldly music, you are fake or weak Christian..

I John 2:15 says "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him"
What kinda HYPOCRISY is this?
Where is this messed up analogy coming from?

Psalms, hymns and spiritual songs are the songs approved by the Bible.

If a song is none of these, it cannot glorify God and it's unacceptable to Him.

Secondly, if the person singing any of these acceptable songs is living in sin (Whether Christian or unbeliever), he is singing in vain - his worship is unacceptable to Almighty God.
You know this how.? As deputy Jesus or as Personal Assistance to God Almighty?

This is rubbish.

We all know the things that means "loving the world" and listening to "not Christian songs" is not one of them

Music is music. There is no such thing as worldly song. Many so called Christian songs were not inspired by the Holy Spirit and many gospel singers are doing sinful things in secret.

Then again if you term certain songs as worldly it means you must only watch christian TV channels and watch only christian movies but how many people do this?
Too many Truth in your comments.

Most Gospel songs Fans are more Promiscuous than Wizkid, Davido and Rema listeners. undecided

You see some Girls singing Sinach, Nathaniel Bassey, etc but secretly fuccking a Brother in their Church. sad

During my time in DELSU Abraka, Fellowship Pastors were Something Else.
Dem Bleep pass the so called Swag Boys. smiley

I believe songs do not Define a Person.

Particularly in Nigeria, I have seen Pple that claim to listen to only Gospel songs but engage in Fornication, Backbiting, Workplace Stealing, etc. undecided

Re: Should You Listen To Worldly Songs As A Christian? by Augustine2244(m): 11:32am On Oct 20, 2024
There are secular songs that are decent enough for a Christian to listen and of course we can't include the songs of the useless yeyebrities in Nigeria in this category.
What decent and genuine Christian listens to this useless Nigerian song with the lyric " Yansh na Yansh,Yansh na Yansh"
We should not try to deceive ourselves or downplay the spiritual significance of Music.
Music originated in Heaven with Lucifer being the Chief Chorister of the Heavens.
After his fall, Lucifer has been employing music as one of his potent weapons in his arsenal of warfare against humanity.
He knows the Power of Music.
He knows that Music attracts either good or evil spirits towards a person.
Why did David's music drive away the devil tormenting King Saul in the Bible?
David was a righteous man, after God's Heart ,in whom God was pleased and his righteous nature reflected and permeated throughout his music playing.
David was a man who loved to sign praises and hymns to the worship of God and even danced near naked to glorify God.
Not all secular songs are worth listening to as a Christian.
Many are so filthy in lyrics and message, glorifying Fornication, Sexual promiscuity,Fraud, Drug use.
The music of most Nigerian secular artists fall into this category.
There are secular songs that are so pure and decent like those of WESTLIFE, which speak of family life, interpersonal relationships, betrayal, true love, Courage before tribulations, Perseverance, Bonding.
Though not all gospel music is made by righteous people.
Some gospel artists are sexually loose, lacking self control, gay and all that.
We can't forget the case of Late Sam Okposo who was a gospel artist and had an extramarital affair with another woman.

When you make such mistakes also
You feel remorse
Submit yourself to prayer and fasting and cancel such things from your life
😇😇😇 so they don’t repeat themselves
It’s actually not easy but I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me
So can you
Most people are drowning because they don’t believe in that word of truth ..

Don’t get it twisted though
My neighbor can play Adele and it gives me nostalgic feelings
Or sia who has good lyrics
I can nod my head to try and grab the lyrics but that’s all you ain’t gonna hear me listening past that
Re: Should You Listen To Worldly Songs As A Christian? by CharlesofJesus: 11:49am On Oct 20, 2024
You quoted a scripture from John is as simple as that. You shouldn't listen to them as simple as ABC.... Apostle Paul went further in his epistle to the Ephesians in chapter 4... You have to be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put off the old man which is the world and put on Christ. He also said to to the Corinthian churches, old things have passed away..old things of the world...,

Singing about boobs and fvck is no song
Singing about boobs and fvck..is an offshoot of songs of King solomon in the bible, King solomon was the original Mr nackson of the famed ikebesuper.

Bad idea
The more worldly songs you listen to, the more worldly inspiration you get.
Even up to your dreams at night, you won't like yourself.

Great points! It’s important to consider how our choices, like music, reflect our faith. I appreciate the reminder from 1 John 2:15 about focusing on what glorifies God. Thank you for sharing!

There are two sides to everyone: the SPIRITUAL and the SECULAR. We are in the world so we can't but dwell in the two realms.

If the spiritual is the only aspect of our lives, then we should only wear cassock, eat only holy communion, sing only hymns etc.

My point is, Jesus said we should be in the world but not of the world.

To answer your question pointedly, we can listen to SECULAR songs as long as they don't contain sinful content. I have a Pasuma song named MMM on my phone that speaks of going from grass to grace.

No. As a Christian, you shouldn't listen to Davido, Wizkid, Burna boy or any non-gospel artist. You shouldn't watch Netflix or any non-gospel movies.
As all of these things promote lifestyles that are against your faith. But most Christians are hypocrites, so they won't listen.
Good, but that means you have listened to Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy to know that they sing worldly songs.

How is the classification done?

Which one is worldy and which one is Christian song?

Which songs was approved in the Bible?

Are Kirk Franklin songs worldly and Don Moen's Christian? Show us with Bible verse?
How does it feel to be free to air your views on issues primarily directed at Christians without being "Shariahed" into signing to do so?

This is a "freedom" that only Christianity guarantees unlike your coven-like forum where only certified die-hard Islamists are accorded such privileges.

You are wrong!

Have you read the song of songs?

Boobs was mentioned several times in it! See below!

1. The Prayer
Proverbs 5:18-19
18 May your fountain be blessed,
and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth.
19 A loving doe, a graceful deer—
may her boobs satisfy you always,
may you ever be intoxicated with her love.

(Say Amen)

2. My Beloved
Song of Songs 1:13-14
13 My beloved is to me a sachet of myrrh
resting between my b*.
14 My beloved is to me a cluster of henna blossoms
from the vineyards of En Gedi.

3. Your Boobs
Song of Songs 4:5-6
5 Your boobs are like two fawns,
like twin fawns of a gazelle
that browse among the lilies.
6 Until the day breaks
and the shadows flee,
I will go to the mountain of myrrh
and to the hill of incense.

4. More description
Song of Songs 7:7-8
7 Your stature is like that of the palm,
and your boobs like clusters of fruit.
8 I said, “I will climb the palm tree;
I will take hold of its fruit.”
May your boobs be like clusters of grapes on the vine,
the fragrance of your breath like apples,

5. Kiss of life
Song of Songs 8:1
8 If only you were to me like a brother,
who was nursed at my mother’s boobs!
Then, if I found you outside,
I would kiss you,
and no one would despise me.

6. Little sister with no B*
Song of Songs 8:8-10
8 We have a little sister,
and her boobs are not yet grown.
What shall we do for our sister
on the day she is spoken for?
9 If she is a wall,
we will build towers of silver on her.
If she is a door,
we will enclose her with panels of cedar.

7. Boobs like towers
Song of Songs 8:10
10 I am a wall,
and my boobs are like towers.
Thus I have become in his eyes
like one bringing contentment.
Funny. The lord will give you better interpretations.
