What's even the difference between a statement of purpose and a personal statement ? |

So I got pre-approval request approved for the second profile for Abuja. There are no dates in Abuja, Lagos has January dates but of course, one can apply for expedited appointment after choosing a date. I don't think it is smart to wait for AVIST shenanigans and Lagos application tho, it's in the news that the embassy knows about it now. https://businessday.ng/news/article/us-embassy-says-addressing-challenges-of-nigerian-visa-applicants/ |

If you are referring to Century College in MN, note that this is a community college. Likelihood of receiving an F-1 visa in Nigeria to attend a community college is very low, definitely lower than a 4-year college or a graduate program. Furthermore, you already have an HND which is roughly equivalent to a bachelor's degree. How do you intend to explain to the VO your rationale for ditching your bachelor's degree to pursue an associate's degree at a community college? You are probably best served pursuing a graduate degree. Obueze: |
| Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 18 by JohnZak: 2:46pm On Oct 21, 2024 |
Evaluate both the bachelor's and master's degree if you want the admissions committee to consider your master's degree in their admission process. Also if you have a master's and bachelor's, why are you applying to a Century college which I think is a community college? Except there is another Century college which is not a community college. happyveeka: |

fairheart:@fairheart Thank you for the reply, i have started the process for the evaluation but another thing i would like to know is this; 1. Can an undergraduate student bring her spouse to the USA provided there is financial document, if yes is it advisable they apply thesame time or one after the other. In other to clarify, the spouse doesnt want to go to school anylonger but would prefer looking for job, hes a software developer that can get gigs even when working from home (USA) as a remote worker. 2. How can the person apply for Bsc, shes looking into considering nursing mostly short time course of study maybe 2years course instead of 4years 3. Is it possible, for instance the husband got a job that can give work visa / employment visa to convert to a work visa ? Just want to get some clarity and sincere response Thanks you so much everyone for your contribution |

Gretmang:So my expedited appointment request was approved within 3 hours. As instructed on the website, you will need to state the date of resumption showing it's within 90 days and you will be required to upload your i20. There are about 3 days in October, I can confirm that 22 of October is available. There are a lot of available days for expedited appointment in November tho. There are more available date than not. Thanks. |

Question please how were you able to see dates for both lagos and abuja? if you started the process with abuja do you still have the option to pick a date for lagos? deees: |
| Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 18 by annabee(f): 6:16pm On Oct 21, 2024 |
Don't do it. Century college is a community college. Your chance of getting a visa is 0.1%. Evaluate your transcript and look for a 4-year college. Obueze: |

Just as @JohnZak mentioned, your OND+HND is already a BSc. Why going back to a community college that is more or less another OND? Look for Masters programs or even PhD programs. Obueze: |
| Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 18 by deees(m): 7:37pm On Oct 21, 2024 |
curiouscaramel:Yes you can pick from either embassies. As I said, there were no regular dates for Abuja even though my payment was for Abuja. I picked a Lagos regular date and when the expedited appointment was approved, I picked for Abuja because I can't have waited for 46 days since 30 August, 2024, paid a new MRV and still go through the stress of Lagos. But for either expedited or normal appointment, you are at liberty to pick any embassy as long as the confirmation page of your visa application is with you, you are good to go. |

Good evening Please is it possible to use SERVIS fee pay for a particular course for another course in the same school... Let me explain you already pay for a SERVIS fee and book visa interview successfully but the school message you ND there is a need for you to choose between changing course or deferred the admission, so you decided to change course... So the question is can someone change the details of the SERVIS fee registration and use it after another i-20 has been issued by the school but the SERVIS no didn't change.. Thanks |

Yes, your sevis is not tied to your course. You can also ask your school directly if that will make you more comfortable. Jacsabey: |

Hello boss, Please I need your advice on this situation: My profile was moved from the old platform to the new one for a November interview date. But I recently renewed my passport and have a new passport number. I also filled another DS160 form, but I can't update the new passport number and DS-160 number on this new platform. Please how would you advice I solve this with all the new system that's going on. You said the "DS-160 he gives them." Please what do you mean by that? Thanks. Gretmang: |
