Evaluate your transcripts first, both HND and the one from Cyprus.
Once you have the evaluated transcript, getting into a PHD program will be easier.
You can take your wife with you, if you are fully funded; or you can go first and she can join later. You will make that decision by yourself. You may be refused for going with you, and you may be approved...depending on the VO you meets during the interview and where you are interviewed. But you can go together.

To increase your chances of funding, I advise you to write the GRE test. It will increase your chances. But you may find schools that will not need it.

All the best.
Thank you

What's even the difference between a statement of purpose and a personal statement ?

So I got pre-approval request approved for the second profile for Abuja. There are no dates in Abuja, Lagos has January dates but of course, one can apply for expedited appointment after choosing a date. I don't think it is smart to wait for AVIST shenanigans and Lagos application tho, it's in the news that the embassy knows about it now. https://businessday.ng/news/article/us-embassy-says-addressing-challenges-of-nigerian-visa-applicants/

Hello .
I go an admission in Century College but I have HND in Biochem/Microbiology. I have filled out the DS160, just generated my mrv code to go pay to the bank.
Please base on my qualification, what is your advise on admission?
Secondly, after paying in first bank, what's the next step?.
Help a brother.

If you are referring to Century College in MN, note that this is a community college. Likelihood of receiving an F-1 visa in Nigeria to attend a community college is very low, definitely lower than a 4-year college or a graduate program. Furthermore, you already have an HND which is roughly equivalent to a bachelor's degree. How do you intend to explain to the VO your rationale for ditching your bachelor's degree to pursue an associate's degree at a community college? You are probably best served pursuing a graduate degree.

Evaluate both the bachelor's and master's degree if you want the admissions committee to consider your master's degree in their admission process.

Also if you have a master's and bachelor's, why are you applying to a Century college which I think is a community college? Except there is another Century college which is not a community college.

Good Evening All, pls i would appreciate y'll input. i have a master in intl business with data analysis. i want to apply for master in usa, should i evaluate my bsc alone or should i include my masters certificate in uk in the evaluation?

@fairheart Thank you for the reply, i have started the process for the evaluation but another thing i would like to know is this;

1. Can an undergraduate student bring her spouse to the USA provided there is financial document, if yes is it advisable they apply thesame time or one after the other. In other to clarify, the spouse doesnt want to go to school anylonger but would prefer looking for job, hes a software developer that can get gigs even when working from home (USA) as a remote worker.

2. How can the person apply for Bsc, shes looking into considering nursing mostly short time course of study maybe 2years course instead of 4years

3. Is it possible, for instance the husband got a job that can give work visa / employment visa to convert to a work visa ?

Just want to get some clarity and sincere response

Thanks you so much everyone for your contribution

I truly do not know where to begin, as i intend processing it myself. I'm here to get as much information as possible.
Also how many months pof does usa require?

So, Abuja got no October or November date anymore?
So my expedited appointment request was approved within 3 hours. As instructed on the website, you will need to state the date of resumption showing it's within 90 days and you will be required to upload your i20. There are about 3 days in October, I can confirm that 22 of October is available. There are a lot of available days for expedited appointment in November tho. There are more available date than not. Thanks.

Don't do it. Century college is a community college. Your chance of getting a visa is 0.1%. Evaluate your transcript and look for a 4-year college.

Just as @JohnZak mentioned, your OND+HND is already a BSc. Why going back to a community college that is more or less another OND?

Look for Masters programs or even PhD programs.

Yes you can pick from either embassies. As I said, there were no regular dates for Abuja even though my payment was for Abuja. I picked a Lagos regular date and when the expedited appointment was approved, I picked for Abuja because I can't have waited for 46 days since 30 August, 2024, paid a new MRV and still go through the stress of Lagos. But for either expedited or normal appointment, you are at liberty to pick any embassy as long as the confirmation page of your visa application is with you, you are good to go.

Yes, however the spouse would be on F2 which does not permit the non student
spouse to work. The student must show they have sufficient funds to cover the spouse.
Now if the spouse gets F2 visa and moves to the US, it is possible to adjust status in country to any of the employment visas of possible.

Lastly if you already have a remote job in Nigeria you can continue with it in the US.

research and find. It's DIY work. Use YouTube, Google, read threads on nairaland

Good evening
Please is it possible to use SERVIS fee pay for a particular course for another course in the same school...

Let me explain you already pay for a SERVIS fee and book visa interview successfully but the school message you ND there is a need for you to choose between changing course or deferred the admission, so you decided to change course... So the question is can someone change the details of the SERVIS fee registration and use it after another i-20 has been issued by the school but the SERVIS no didn't change.. Thanks

Yes, your sevis is not tied to your course. You can also ask your school directly if that will make you more comfortable.

Hello, I have the same situation like you. I renewed my passport and filled a new DS-160 form but can't update it on the new platform. Please have you been able to solve the issue? Thanks.

VincentTobe:
Good evening house, please I have my interview coming up but I initially rescheduled my appointment because my passport wasn’t 6 months beyond the program end date, I applied for a new passport and have completed a new ds160 with the new passport number. Please which one should I give the Vo during interview, the old passport and ds160 or the new passport and new ds160. Also do I need to explain it to the officer once I’m there for the interview. Thank you!

Hello boss, Please I need your advice on this situation:

My profile was moved from the old platform to the new one for a November interview date. But I recently renewed my passport and have a new passport number. I also filled another DS160 form, but I can't update the new passport number and DS-160 number on this new platform. Please how would you advice I solve this with all the new system that's going on. You said the "DS-160 he gives them." Please what do you mean by that? Thanks.
Gretmang:
It’s the DS-160 that you give them at the embassy during interview that they’re gonna treat. There’s no way they’re going to treat a DS-160 that you don’t give to them that day. If u don’t tell them they’re not going to know. all the other DS-160 just stay somewhere in the system and u can access them anytime tol
