obj had every opportunity to make Nigeria Eldorado

Nigeria was highly stable when he took over that if he excelled we could have been better off today but he himself did 10% n left d rest

Hope u know it was during obj tenure that UAE investors came to beg for loan from Nigeria

Just to show u how ok we were then, given the resources obj had then n his performance

He should b rated 10 over 100 cos he could have done better

If obj did at least 60% then 99.9% of what we face today won't b dere

No politician will campaign about steady supply of electricity again n many more
He has his flaws but when compare to this crop of corruption infested politicians. Is a demigod, this people r on a mission to level anything call good in Nigeria, have I heard about the Nigerian air saga? The few legacy like clearing the debt of Nigeria and restoring the global perspective of Nigeria. Do govt after him also maintain that stand. Even if he was able to solve power problem. This people go done turn am to another thing. APC is evil

No doubt Obj opened the eyes of politicians to what can be made from politics. Allegedly, Ghana must go changed hands to remove principal officers and to influence INEC

I heard him say in his NTA interview in 1985 or 1986 that he started Obj farms with N2 million. A video of the place was shown. He said he got a loan of N1 million. Can't remember how he got the other million. To a large extent he meant well. But went through questionable ways to achieve what he termed as success. Nigeria has never been governed by a saint.

if u use your head will understand this obj that is now your Messiah is d architect of all the problems in Nigeria today

He introduced money politics by bribing anyone who is on his way

He introduced borrowing from foreign bodies to share among friends n cronies eg 16 billion dollars electricity fund

He introduced maximum rigging that politicians of today now use to their advantage eg him n fayose writing election results on obj bed

I can never rate anyone praising obj cos I see them as either dumb or all these Mumu Gen z who started following politics recently

If u were grown up during obj regime n u are still politically conversant today u will never praise this man

What about national ID card money?

Obasanjo said: 'It is not enough for leaders to have policies or make statements. We are not short of policies in Nigeria. Unfortunately, Nigeria has become a burial ground of policies that are either unimplemented or unexecuted.'
'Those who make progress achieved progress, not on the basis of wishing to make progress, but on taking actions. They do not take two steps forward and three steps backward.
“Regrettably this is what we are doing in every aspect of our national life. And as long as we are doing things this way, progress will elude us. Let us carry the ones we can carry, we cannot be jack of all trade and master of none “

Obasanjo was Special Guest of Honour at the Olusegun Obasanjo Space Centre, Abuja, during the 8th Engr Brig Gen (rtd) Micheal Agu Annual Distinguished Lecture and Awards.
According to him, his administration had plans to launch its first Satellite in space by China, the second Satellite by Nigeria in collaboration with China and the third plan was to launch Nigeria Satellite in Space exclusively made by Nigeria.
The annual lecture and awards were organised under the auspices of the Nigerian Institution of Space Engineers with the theme:”Nigeria’s 21 years in space 2003-2024: Achievements, challenges and prospects.”
Exactly! For 18 months, this administration has busied itself with spewing policy after policy but no implementation plan to be found anywhere... absolutely none to date. undecided

Obasanjo actually implemented many common sense policies which Nigerians saw turn things in the right direction. Problem is no sooner did Yar adua make it n than they were reversed. Most of the decay that is today, including APC, would have been a mirage if not for that rush by Yar adua followed by the delay of Jonathan to get the country immediately back on track right after his death. undecided

There was never a $16 Billion electricity fund sharing.

2. He didn't necessarily introduce rigging which already existed even as far back as the first democratic election in Nigeria. undecided

3. Corruption remained the bane of existence in Nigeria during Obasanjo's time BUT he got many things right that those after him have never been able to get right and that is why he is still better than all the other president's of the last 25 years. . They just seem to get progressively worse which is to be expected since Democracy is instead meant to be rule of the people.... Not those elected into office. undecided

Some would be disappointed to know that no man living or unborn can salvage Nigerian from the mess she's drown in.

Not even a Peter Obi can make Nigeria a better nation. Let's be reasonable, Nigeria is gone to the dogs. The only way out is either we revert back to Regionalism or the country get separated. Expecting a human to save the day in this country is nothing but a myth.
Only good policies will revert the country and not separation.

No nation in the world has been able to positively impact the lives of its people by way of AUDIO Policies — policies not followed up with successful implementation. undecided
