This question has been answered above already.
Either you meet the financial criteria of €11,904 through a blocked account or a sponsorship letter or a scholarship.

Any publicly funded scholarship will do. Doesn't have to be full

The lagos embassy was pretty cool. My appointment was for 9am but I got ther 6:50 and was attended to. Make sure you have all your original documents as they will be checked by Mr Paulinus. Also dont carry cash, carry your card amd make sure the card is working because i was actually shouted at for bringing cash. Then make sure all your documents are signed.
After we got past all these, the interview was actually cool and short. Make sure you answer all the questions concisely. Dont say too much so that you dont get into trouble. Also dont say you can speak german if you cant because you will be tested on that. And make sure you are able to defend the money in your blocked account
Thanks for your enormous support and contribution, but please, what language will your interview be done in?

Please, I would need guidelines on how I can go about German scholarship programs.

The waiting period now for category B is 25 months (2 years 1 month)
digilexsolution:
True, it's confirmed.
From 18months to 25months.
Only God knows what's next.
Anyways, I don't blame them. I blame our useless leaders who has made the country unbearable for young people to strive.
Hannania:
There's nothing you can do because more than 5000 Nigerians are in your shoes too. Unless you fall under CAT A, meaning you get a scholarship or PHD admission , you have at least 19 months to wait. There's absolutely nothing you can do. No special treatment. 2026
lol

If so, what do you say about this post?:

Hannania:
Every single applicant must meet the €11k yearly requirements. If you're on scholarship, it must cover that amount. If it's less, you must block the deficit. If you're a PHD candidate, your PhD contract must cover such, or you provide BA or SL.

So no matter your category, proof of that $11k must be provided by BA, SL or Scholarship

I'm not 100% but I believe the total amount has to be equal to 11k Euros, i.e on a a scholarship of 5k euros, you would need to block 6k to complete it

If you don’t mind how did you book appointment to certify your documents in the uk? Type certify documents for German universities admission on Google , it will take to official website . The email address and phone contact of the consulates in different regions in uk are there . Contact the consulate in your area to book an appointment . I live in Hull , I booked an appointment with the one in Humber region .

If so, then interested folks should aim for partial scholarships while being prepared to cover the remaining part to move from Category B to Category A.

I recall when I disagreed with Nigerian students aiming at Germany last year but was vehemently insulted by a few Nairalanders. You see, in this life, you have to be brutally realistic and always expect the worst to happen even while hoping for the best. I don't consider it reasonable for any Nigerian student to spend two years undergoing online classes while hoping to get an interview date. No school would wait for you. You are better off using the blocked funds to cultivate cassava and process it into garri then flour and hopefully ethanol.

Germany should be erased from the minds of anyone who doesn't qualify for Category A as a place to study as a graduate student from Nigeria. If you love Germany, do so on a work visa.

Does Form A still exist?

You have just said the bitter truth bro.
Honestly it's not worth the stress.
2 years+ is pretty long for a student visa
But again the work visa for Germany is not easy to get at all and even the chancenkarte, I don't know anyone who has gotten it.

You won't blame them. No need applying to schools actually, until you're a year to your appointment. Those waiting now booked when it was just one year waiting period. Why Germany?

1. Easy part to PR
2. New reform grants citizenship swiftly
3. No tuition, semester fee averages €350 per semester
4. As the biggest economy in Europe, there's always a job, you just have to skill up and learn the damn language. This is an advantage people in the UK and Canada no longer have due to influx of migrants.(Still possible, but consider the loans Nigerians take and the cost to these nations)
5. Many Nigerians are not skilled enough to get work contract for the work visa, so study route is the best.

To cap it off, if you're already a year into the waiting period, please wait. Trust me it's the best. If you're starting, you're better off horning your skills and getting visa sponsorship. That 2 years will most definitely turn to 3 years like in the case of Cameroon presently.

This is well scripted and it's also a hope lifter.
Indeed Germany has loads of opportunities but opportunities aren't tied to one country.
If things doesn't work out well explore other countries, exchange rate is crazy 🤣.
Trust me by next year waiting period would be 3 years. Don't play!!

THE SCHOLARSHIP IS JUST TO HELP YOU MOVE FROM CATEGORY B TO A. YOU STILL HAVE TO COMPLETE THE BLOCKED ACCOUNT MONEY. EVEN IF IT IS JUST THE DEUTSCHLANDSTIPENDIUM (300€).

Usually, his salary per month (after tax) should cover his own standard expected expenses along with that of all his dependents, with spare change for an extra person.
For example, let's say he has no other dependants. Proof of funds is €11,208 which is 934 per month. So, he should be earning 1868 to give SL to someone else. So, that's 934 for each of you.

I forgot he must be a permanent resident, citizen, or have a blue card
