My twin brother is missing after arriving Lagos Intl. Airport from UK - Man says

He hasn’t reached out to us. His phone number is inactive, and his bank accounts are not active.

Daniel Ogoh, a 27-year-old postgraduate student in the UK, disappeared without a trace after arriving in Lagos on May 5th. His twin brother, David, tells us that Daniel has been unreachable since.

hope he never enter one chance...should have booked uber/bolt. I always do that after arriving at Lagos airport but who knows what really happened so I just hope it's not one chance.

When last did you hear this sort of thing happen? The airport taxis are all registered with FAAN, same as Uber/Bolt if he used the latter option. So I'm not really sure.

Security is at it poorest in Nigeria and human life is just taking for granted by those in power

His family will be in anguish now, this is just terrible!

when u arrive at the airport of ur destination 1st action will be to contact ur family or contact person even b4 stepping out to leave the airport premises to update them on ur next move and direction.

Making contact with a stranger be it cab guy or someone u just met on the trip b4 ur family upon arrival is not a wise security move.

Sad.

Registered taxi drivers are trusted in better climes. But in Nigeria, who knows?

Imagine if a Nigerian can vanish in his own country.
What could happen to a foreigner who’s just visiting.
We need to do better.
The airport needs to take security seriously.
I don’t even trust airport staff.
