Please, what’s wrong with the passport pickup services? I had my interview in Abuja last week Tuesday and I picked Lagos as my pickup center. I booked appointment on OIS, on getting to their office in Lagos, they say my Passport isn’t with them. And the ceac website say “issued” what’s wrong? I’ve not gotten any email or message from the embassy to pick up my passport tho. Usually it doesn’t take this long, but has things change? Can anyone enlighten us?

Please for those who had their interview in Abuja, how did you go for your medical health assessment, how much did it cost, how long did it take and how many day prior to the interview did you go?

You do not need to submit a medical assessment to the embassy for a student visa.

Medicals are required for folks applying for an immigrant visa but not for those applying for non-immigrant visas like F-1 visas.

I go an admission in Century College but I have HND in Biochem/Microbiology. I have filled out the DS160, just generated my mrv code to go pay to the bank.
Please base on my qualification, what is your advise on admission?
Secondly, after paying in first bank, what's the next step?.

Hi, please is it possible for someone to have his or her F1 visa interview on Thursday and the passport is ready for collection by Monday, also the caec is not even showing any visa status but Theo is said the passport is ready for collection… do you think one should worry about how soon the passport is ready

My profile was moved from the old platform to the new one for a November interview date. But I recently renewed my passport and have a new passport number. I also filled another DS160 form, but I can't update the new passport number and DS-160 number on this new platform. Please how would you advice I solve this with all the new system that's going on. You said the "DS-160 he gives them." Please what do you mean by that? Thanks.

Hello everyone. Please I am trying to help my brother with his interview appointment on AVITS website. Once I moved to the next step, I figured that I made a mistake so I canceled the form and I filled a new form. However, when I wanted to go to the next step, I was getting the error message that "Duplicate Applicant found for this user". I have raised support tickets, called AVITS support team, filled a new DS-160, tried to use another email address to open a new account but I keep getting the same error message each time. Has anyone else been in this situation? Please what do you advise? I will really appreciate your help. Thanks

AVIT cant help . They have no idea of what’s happening. This is what u do ; In the new profile, change the last digit of your passport number and proceed. It’ll allow you to proceed and book an appointment. Your appointment slip will come out with this new passport number (the one with the last digit changed), don’t fret, it’s okay, however, your DS-160 will bear the right Passport number, that’s what they’ll use to pull out ur details. Your appointment slip has no usefulness pass the AVIT security members who’ll check the slip and compare it with what they have on their system to be sure you have an appointment that day. After the security procedure, what matter is your DS-160 page , passport and i20 ( passport and i20 are the two documents the VO will collect from u)

If you don’t do this, you’ll keep getting “duplicate applicants……” even if you use 100 emails

How long does the request take before I can proceed?

Hi. I am applying for a J1 VISA and already gotten to the stage of preapproval being processed (picked Lagos) but I have been seing issues with Lagos approvals. Since I have not submitted my DS-160, is it advisable to wait for me to wait and see what happens first so I can easily change to Abuja and pick that location if I have the chance next time?
