No sir, like I said this is Uber because that's where I drive. The figures you see are after commissions. Uber only shows you your takings NET of commissions. 50k is AFTER commissions
Oh I get your point now very clearly sir
Thanks for the great analysis 👍

You still don't get. If you remember vividly I posted my uber account then, to show that I've been doing the hustle even before joining this thread and I go to island early morning then. I stopped when I got a good 9-5. Then I started when I lost it after some years.

Infact at some point, we don't get to see ride to lekki early morning, so you get to pick workers in the morning going to lekki, so you can stay in lekki and hustle.

Meanwhile, I no dey vex for Ikeja man. It means nothing. It's a faceless forum. I will still take a trip from lekki to ICM with good surge in the morning and find a trip back to island or to yaba, then find another to island.

U ask question and u answer it by yourself.

Also, no be everybody go school.

Lastly even if govt good and u go school, if u chose to do Uber and prosper in it, then there is nothing wrong. Adenuga been first do kabukabu, and a person use shit packing enter the list of richest men in Nigeria.

The debasing and or stereotyping of Uber drivers must stop
Adenuga drive kabukabu,
Tinubu too drive taxi who else ?
Me too don drive uber grin angry grin
How many months or years this men drive taxi ?
Driving as a stop gap or side hustle is different from driving as a profession

Not stereotyping uber drivers at all but the comparison of uber drivers and 9-5 job must stop.
If country good 90% of graduate driving uber in Nigeria, Will never go near it.

As long as Ehailing is a legitimate source of income, it will continue to b compared and weighed side by side with any 9-5 job or other business.
Whether it is a side hustle, stop gap, full time or main hussle, profession or career u must respect and honor peoples labour.

If u have a better opportunity for guys here, u can drop the link or connect. I will not accept u or anybody, whoever or whatever u think u are to come here and disrespect people.
If somebody here comes to beg u for money, u can talk to the person as u like and yab him for wasting all his years driving, but to be doing this every market day here will not be tolerated.

This conversation and comparison is getting boring at this point.

Anybody wey wan drive make e drive, anyone wey wan work 9-5 make e work. Wetin!

Oya, i have a job opening for sales personnel. Tired drivers should apply.

Salary is 200k.

If interested send CV to my mail ebhonudamian@gmail.com

I can influence your chances if you are a nairalander and a former ehailing driver

What comes to your mind when you hear 9-5..
50k, 60k, 75k abi.....change ur circle!
You see why driving from morning till night makes you feel cool?
Like someone said, we don overflog this topic too much for here.

Apologies...but others can learn too.
Na era of choose ur trip wisely...
If I have 8k fuel only in my car and I stay in Gbagada/ogudu, I'll be targeting S/lere (4k-5k), then S/lere to Lekki phase 1( 5k-6k), then a long trip towards Ikeja (8k-10k). From Ikeja I go find OGUDU/Alapere / Gbagada(3,500-4k)..any of my Corolla will do this.
I'll be closing around 20+25k.
Pay commission (2,500), return my 8k fuel back and I'll still take home like 10-12k ....You can return home latest 12pm if you set out by 6am.....Every trip you take now, you must do it wisely, else you'll just be ranting and looking for solution where there is none...

Far from it sir. What's the mainstream? What's the percentage of the population that have these great jobs. It's a pyramid bro, the higher you go the lower the number.
It's got nothing to do with my circle as I can confidently hold my own when I interact with them. I've mentioned it here that I've gotten job offers from a couple of riders following our conversations during the trip.
I don't have any problem with the 9-5 guy neither do I have a problem with the driver. They are both doing legit work and trying to live a better life, is all that matters. My issue is with those who come here denigrating the job because of their own low self esteem and expect us all to tow their line.

Okay...I agree with you... They're both legit work and nobody should make the other feel bad...it's okay if it's in that context tho.
Do have a pleasant morning...

And they think all bolt and Uber drivers can make 150k net weekly..

Dem dey Lagos dey make noise. Make dem go another state go try make that 150k weekly from bolt or uber. If their car nor catch fire

I don't think any of them can boldly beat their chest that they can make 150k every week from bolt or Uber consistently

I can sense the fear you are going through in ur write up.. even if they decide to suspend your account due to low acceptance rate ( I don't think if it's possible)

I will advice you not to fully depend on bolt/Uber drive, it's not as profitable as you think due to economy crisis currently. Take it as side hustle for now just to survive

The managements of bolt/uber are doing their possible best not to dissipate out of business, that's why they mostly care about passengers (on top high cost of fuel dem still dey give passengers 20 percent bonus for each ride)

Lastly try and learn a profitable skill you can search it online. It will favour you more..

If your car eventually break down due to deterioration and lack of constant maintenance, bros hungry go beat you oo and you go cry tire.. no body go borrow you money for here..

I am not fixing that shit until major transport companies start using them, because I believe they should be pioneers in the stuff if it's that better and they have the money to also do it.
So until they fancy it even I can afford it I ain't doing, besides why is the so called people in power not using them at least to show people it's doable.
Nonsense trial and error country, what is even the guarantee that they won't start subsidy drama on that one tomorrow too?
