I Was Asked This in A recent Interview... by Stargurl20(op): 8:02am On Oct 23, 2024
I had a recent interview and I was asked to tell them my self In not more than five sentences. I started with my name, education, and mentioned three skills. It's a GT role and I'm a fresh grad. Although, I've worked as an administrative assistant and I had that on my CV.

My question is should I have added my experience while answering the question, despite being given instruction to to make it exceed five sentences?

We have simple, Compound, complex and compound complex sentences.

They can be declarative, exclamatory, imperative, or interrogatory. Each sentence type serves a different purpose.

There are no right or wrong answers to this question. If you had said fewer/more than 5 sentences, they wouldn't have known.

This question is just a way of selling yourself. In my opinion, they just wanna throw you off balance. If you, but with what you wrote up there, you did well.

Next time, please, briefly include your experience(s). These days, companies hire base on experience rather than on education.

since you are a freshie...you should have indicated to them that you are ready to learn. Your experience doesnt really count here cos they know you are a freshie. But anybody wey won employ you go employ.

They are trying to evaluate you. What's the point of training someone who. May not have the mental capacity or confidence to make decisions...

Forget all my English sister, if they are going to take you, you won't be subjected to unnecessary stress jor

With complex sentence structures and proper use of punctuations, 5 sentences could amass to a full page worth of work.

They said not more than 5 sentence not five words. This means that they wanted to get to know U but don't want you take too much time in doing so. They did it brief.
Something like this should do.

My name is Ada George.
I have a bSC in economics from the university of Uyo.
I have intern at GT bank where I worked as a front desk officer.
I am highly industrious, a teamplayer with problem solving skills and opening to learning.
Thank you.

The trick is to use this acronym FEES
First name
Education
Experience
Skills.

But u did well
