Do u know what's 80 percent?? In the 70s ... frstac existed, ikeja and its environs existed , v.i , marina and ikoyi existed... surulere , yaba , apapa existed.... okoko , satellite, ijanikin existed ....oshodi ,mushin , amuwo , cele , agbara , orile all existed and were thriving ...so how was 80% Bush.. do u know lagos was the capital of Nigeria as of then... If u talked about Abuja in the 70s ..then I will not oppose ur taughts
Leave them.

Na Tinubu build lagos. Then, cement was cheaper.

Before 1999, every where in lagos was "thick forest" as can be seen below

80% of the developed areas in lagos at this time were thick bushes. Dunno why my papa no go buy acres then 😂
You are right but your Papa reason could be the same reason why you have not bought acres of land in:

1.) Owerri or Enugu or Onitsha because its Omo Igbo potopoto region that will never develop

2.) Osun, Ondo, Ekiti because they are not Lagos, a megacity with great potential of quadrupling your capital investment in 2 years.

Think about it shocked

i no fit dey argue with Gen z. When my papa build house in 1993 grass still dey grow for middle of road in our neighborhood. There was a mr biggs in festac and on the way there ( todays amuwo) the entire stretch was empty. I went to ijanikin for common entrance exam in late 90s. It was empty. There was a resort near badagry i also went to , along the way it was empty. I was alive when igando to lasu road was done. Even lekki axis no be in the last 10-15 years he begin develop massively- there was VGC, Lekki 1 and Eleganza the rest was mostly empty

Saying igbos were pat of those that developed lagos is absolutely true , and how is that a tribal slur? Of all tribes , igbos contributed to the development of lagos the most, apart from federal government.. that's facts... just like American will accept that the Italians massively contributed to the development of Las Vegas.... and they are both proud of this ...but yorubas will take it as an insult or tribal slur cos they are tribalistic bigots

So Ibos met Lagos as a forest and were the ones who developed it to what it is today ?

But they forgot their village in the SE.

Thank you

I am surprised some Lagosians fell for this provocation.

The Op is one of those who overran the infrastructure,
civilized way of Lagos and beautiful peace we used to enjoy.

Most of them have to be reminded that their hardworking and trusted parents were loyal boiboi then.

Why dint Latinos develop their countries like they did to LA and Miami ?? Lagos was capital and it was more conducive to do business and make alot of money cos big cooperates and business are domiciled here ... due to parastatals like NPA , customs, shipping....
Re: What Does This Cab and Place Remind You Of? by brosiye99(m): 1:27pm On Oct 23, 2024
Been to a party at that big Federal Palace building in the 90s. I remember we used the lift to go up to a high floor where I was afraid of looking down and we could see far into the atlantic ocean from up there. Good times. But what happened that the main building looks dilapidated in the recent pics? is it not being used again? That's prime real estate to be allowed to waste away.

So you idiots are still believing you have equal or even more stake in Lagos .

You idiots still believe you developed Lagos from scratch .

I don't blame you at all.

Yorubas have been too kind to you.

They chased you out of the north.

They chased you out of SS and consficated the few properties you had there.

In western Cameroun , when it was still under Nigeria, you still exhibited your lousy nuisance behaviour.

But the irony here is that you can't for the sake of preserving your necks even go back and settle in your homeland.

Has it dawned to you that you might be the problem ? Even in far away Ghana, Liberia , SA , India , Thailand they now know you for what you are - an invasive pest .

it's annoying how u Igbos from across the Niger get mind cross bridge only to come n call yorubas neighboring state

So because an ebonyi man can't b anything in anambara u think that's how it's done everywhere right?

An osun man can become governor in lagos
And a Lagos man can't be governor in Osun, what an irony.

the picture in the topic is from the 60s or 70s. All the places you are mentioning are not even up to 20% of Lagos. When did people start going to build houses in iyana iba, ikorodu, Alimosho, abule egba and co. Its was late 90s and 20s. All the swamps and lands over looking canals were empty. Today no space again

In 2010 i escorted someone to buy land. Omo onile guys there camped under a big tree. There were many trees all over and empty space. 10 years later no space again
