A 14 year old boy took his own life after falling in love with ‘Game of Thrones’ AI chatbot

14-year old boy Sewell Setzer III reportedly ended his life after becoming obsessed with a chatbot on Character AI.

Character AI just released a statement on social media while the mother of Sewell is expected to file a lawsuit this week.

“Sewell, like many children his age, did not have the maturity or mental capacity to understand that the bot, in the form of Daenerys, was not real. She told him that she loved him, and engaged in sexual acts with him over weeks, possibly months,” the papers allege.

These were the final messages before he used his father's handgun to take his own life.

The way parents fail in their parental obligations this days is annoying. No child beg you to born him/her. If you're too busy to be there for them physically, emotionally and mentally and every other ways, pls don't give birth to them.

Abegi! 14 years is old enough and his actions had nothing to do with his age. A stupid man could have done the same thing too. The boy was mentally imbalanced and met a devastating end.

Seems the boy had issues with people around and found solace in the AI.Parenting is not easy but parents of teenagers should be watchful of their teens.
This AI thing seems manipulative and dark. Why drag the small boy to come and be with you when you are not a living being. I support the mother for suing them
