I am currently owing
1. Okash
2. Branch
3. New credit
4. Xcross cash
5. Fairmoney

And they are all due... Not that I am not making efforts to pay them back, I am...

The country is too hard...

Though for now I only receive calls and constant reminders from anyone of them, that if I don't pay they will report my bvn to credit bureau... Sometimes branch and Fairmoney will tell me they will take legal action...

None of my contacts have called me yet to report any form of defamation yet...

I just hope and believe that these five loan apps I am owing are part of the ones that done defame... God go help me out to pay them all...
Newcredit does it. They are also the same as Palmcredit. They are very notorious!

This defamation has an opposite effect. If the defaulter was having issues or doubts on repaying her loan before, having seen this degrading message, she will never repay.

These loan apps better find creative ways of recovering their money because I believe currently, many Nigerians are so broke (and shameless) that such messages mean nothing to them.
It happens in Kenya too. One man even went as far as painting his dog to look like a Bengal Tiger to wade off the loan officers, the silly puppy in question even started to feel like a giant cat (tiger). I have seen things.

That is not d way to go, Nigerians like using crude mtd to find a solution to problems, d person no get account, and d borrowers must be accountable, be responsible in anything you are doing.

Sometimes it is hard to blame these people as it is the kind of environment prevalent in Nigeria. Over 95% of the average Nigerian borrow with intentions not to repay and these people are into business to make money.

I honestly do not blame these loan companies as they have to resort to whatever means to stay in business.
Stay in which yeye businesshuh Those people are themselves fraudsters taking advantage of the poverty in the country!

Why don't you tell the person that borrowed money to pay up instead of blaming the lender

I woke up to hear my phone bleep, and when I scrolled through the message, I shook my head in disbelief. How far will these loan apps go? Attached is a screenshot of the message. To the commenter below, the message was sent to my phone and probably to others as well to defame the loan defaulter. I can't even recall where I met the person at the center of this mess, but she sure had my contact saved on her phone.

They are taking this too far.
Is unfortunate that there are no laws to regulate this nonsense in Nigeria.
This is subject to a legal battle.
Stay away from loan app.

This is defamation, and the person involved should go to court ASAP... He/She can become a millionaire with this.

If Dem like make Dem use DSS find me, Dem go first pay me for defamation before we come talk how l go settle Dem.

If you can, avoid loan apps ooooo
Dem get crazy and mad interest rates
But you see
Palmpay, na only dem dey considerate with their interest.
If l need urgent 2k, na me and Dem

The truth is 90% of Nigerians borrow money without the intention of paying back...

The lenders themselves are not without faults either, why would you charge exorbitant interest rates?

Brother I will never in my life teach anyone how loan apps works, it even you have over 100% means of paying back when u borrow, pls am so sorry ... I can't be the one to tell u how it works...

I don wish anyone to pass through what am passing through, not even my worst enemy...

These loan apps will take away your peace of mind and sanity... Better to be a street beggar than to take from any loan app...

The worst is when u start taking from one loan app to pay another...

I borrowed over 400k to pay close to 800k in 8 months from Fairmoney...

YOU NIGERIANS LIKE STUPIDITY AND THATS WHY POLITICIANS AND POLICE TREAT US AS THEY LIKE, BECAUSE WE ALWAYS LOOK FOR A WAY TO JUSTIFY ANY RUBBISH, EVEN MURDER.
KEEP QUIET NEXT TIME YOU DONT THINK.

THERE ARE PROCEDURES TO RECORVER LOANS IN NIGERIA AND THE WORLD OVER.
DEFMATION, LIBEL, FALSEHOOD, BLACKMAIL, DEHUMANISATION, GROSS VIOLATION OF DATA PRIVACY AND CRIMINALITY ARE NOT WAYS TO RECORVER LOANS.
