WareLogMan:If you don master this game, you no go even dey complain. Wetin still dey surprise me here is that there are some legends here whom I even tapped from their education and posts, but they are now complaining and discrediting the hustle. And, I be like, is it not this same e-hailing we dey do? I stick to indrive exclusively. Some dey use bolt that is better off and they still complaining. E dey always surprise me seriously, but it is well sha. Much respect, boss. |

Despite the fact that i have always tried to avoid the urge to shalaye on this thread, sometimes i type long epistle only for me to proof read and find myself deleting everything and move on. truth is every time I do this, deep down i feel like I'm denying someone the encouragement they need to scale through in this hustle. it still feels fresh in my mind, 2021 just like yesterday when i came to this thread looking for advice about venturing into e-hailing, as usual majority of people here discouraged me about buying my manual car for the hustle, but luckily for me some positive minded people Like Cheerfugiver, pearl1910, deedee gave their opinion to me about the hustle, Cheerfugiver in particular called me with his own airtime to encourage me and helped me planned my scope of work and also when my Ac was the only thing holding me back from starting the hustle then, he offered to assist me financially if there is need (Reason he would forever be a Legend in my books). so many challenges in the hustle i must say, at some point driving became boring and tiring. I dont think anyone is planning to drive forever, at least not me, not even Cheerfugiver the chief ant driver (how do i know this, because we are in the same telegram group where we do most of the conversations). now this is not white washing, I have met Cheerfugiver a couple of times, we ate suya together once at NTA ahmadu bello vi. the guy is so fresh u cant believe he's an uber driver based on how drivers have been stereotyped with weird looks. back to my point, for many of us, driving is part time even though we invest a larger part of our time into it, like me now i have handwork which gives me alot of time to rest reason why i ventured into this hustle so i can convert my excessive time to money. needless of the comparison between e-hailing and 9-5 jobs, the best we can do is to drop experience here good or bad so that people can learn and help themselves, as this thread is not about 9-5. I have stopped driving actively since April this year, except for some of my offline clients that pays above minimum wage for a single trip yes even though i am driving a manual car ![]() I have now established my business(with capital that worth more than a tokumbo Corolla) and i am now an employer of labour, atleast I have a staff that earns monthly from me and i also subsidized the transportation fare weekly. i wont attribute this win to e-hailing alone, but i must say it was a major player in helping me achieve this. let everyone do what works for them lets try to encourage the newbies instead complaining all the time. so many things i want to say, but let me stop here as some people might have different opinions about my sincere post. hopefully I would sign out officially with big earnings by December because that December surge ehn Love and Light. |

Is it even practical doing it for life? Age will come, car will depreciate. As it is, are you planning on making a enough profit to get a new car and begin the cycle again or planning to be on rentals? E- hailing is a good means to an end but not an exit plan. For someone like me especially in Lagos i rather use public transport sometimes so i can break my journey when i have to. To drive in this town makes me sick, then to think of making it a lifetime job Omoapena: |

Hmmm, interesting read so far. Infact, right now, I just dey think of my life, directions etc. Na when I grow things cost. Na when I buy motor fuel x5. But the biggest issue I have now is Brain box I still don't understand how. I was just driving and motor off. Next thing Im looking for price of brain box. I was a little distraught but the ba3 charger said make I no fear, Honda brain box no dey too cost like that. I said OK. I checked online for possible prices and I saw on jiji about 45-55k. OK, I fit still try. Then I asked the rewire for price he said 140k and they will still program it. Pls my senior men here, how much will I get a Honda EOD brain box. |

BAZ001:I started this important discussion And I am delighted a lot of people are contributing to it venting out their frustration. Only a perpetual uneducated fellow who lack exposure will compare e-halling job to 9-5 job.. it's obvious it's lack of well paid job opportunities that made alot of graduates to venture into e-hailling job If paradventure you are luckily making money from Uber/bolt drive, doesn't give you the temerity to slam others down from complaining A lot of you here are hypocritical deceivers.. (eg pearls and xghost) you guys are trying to encourage newbies to continue driving every day and not to take bolt/Uber as side hustle. you know fully well because of economy crisis currently in Nigeria this e-hailling job is not favourable any more.. where as both of you don't drive everyday from the unrealistic figures you guys posted recently. Deceivers!!!! |

People are not factual and truthful here at all. The business is sweet now abi? Ok o! I pray and hope so! Someone is now looking for 140k for repairs. Maybe he doesn't have a wear/tear account. As long as 20k profit don enter daily...... everywhere don stew! My brother looking for brain box, God will help you. He's your strength! With all these ridiculous prices and drivers are rushing them. The same prices when fuel was 585. I just dey watch sha! Bn out here since morning. I have not worked. Why? Can't pick these prices with fuel at 1100 and with Camry muscle 09/10. Nah I can't. Bolt isn't even trying too. It is well. The kind of trip I've been seeing since morning. Almost an hour for 7k and drivers are rushing it 👇

Barbiturate:Agba. 🙌 If na me get this exotic Camry (for e-hailing), the only days you go dey see me hustling na Friday-Saturday-Sunday (strictly). Even with my yanmayanma big daddy, I only hustle Thursday-Sunday now (4 days), then use the rest of the week for something else. I dey look into establishing a laundry business by next year. This Tinubu era is obviously a negative flame on everything. I wan reduce my e-hailing to 3 days (Fri-Sat-Sun) only with a net of 100k min as always. We must move and God no go shame us. Much respect, boss. |

donfortune48:It's an entry-level position that doesn't require prior experience, as long as the individual is intelligent, dedicated, open to learning, and has a flair for sales. Anyway, the position is already closed, and I didn’t receive a single application from any driver on this thread. This suggests that everyone is satisfied with the income they're making from e-hailing. If 200k is considered small money, it seems like everyone is doing just fine. |

Barbiturate:Carry your savings, go and buy dispatch bike. I can help you with dispatch groups to get works daily, you can hire a rider and use that as side hustle. Leave all these people. If you have more than 2 bikes, headache. One is OK, but 2 is perfect. You can easily save 100 - 150k per week on one bike. Maintenance is also low. I have a friend that's into the biz, he had 4 bikes and sold 2. The remaining 2 are serving him well. Best of luck |

donbrowser:So all dispatch rider’s saves 150k weekly? Menh your Tpain is killing the economy and people. In fact all these plenty talk tire man. |
| Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by pope191: 3:32pm On Oct 24, 2024 |
Barbiturate:The maths is simple. Once drivers don plenty pass riders. App company are scared of increasing price because of competitors. The best still remain drivers should learn to ignore trips or off app. Best best run moove car boss and take any form of maintenance of you shoulder. Better still find rental of 40k and take repair off your worries. You can use 2 days to pay owner and use 3 days for yourself. |

Lemme also chip in something. Nigerians have always looked down on those jobs they reckon are beneath them—fact. So, consequently E-hailing would be subsumed under such jobs. Funnily enough, same nigerians go over the pond just to get involved in geriatric bum cleaning then go on the internet mouthing off to the world about making pounds/dollars and how dignity is in labour. Apparently, there's no dignity in labour if your endeavours are within the confines of the country. And to those claiming they know someone or someone who knows someone earning 1m naira per week or month, I don't give a hoot anyway, have you all seen the stats on the percentage of workers who earn 100 thousand/month ? Make una dey play. The last time I drove on Bolt I did net around 550k in what was not even up to 30 days, and that was in Abuja not Lagos. Let me state it in a precise, concise, unequivocal term , and with utmost equanimity, I am not dumping 500- 600k driving job for any 200k 9 -5 office whatever. I just can't!! |

AutosAbuja:My brother cherish that car oh. It's now becoming a reality that having a vehicle with all these 1.6 - 1.8 liter engines is a necessity for us. You won't get the NEW upstream sensor from any narket in nigeria and the TOKUMBO ones might work today and stop tomorrow even if you're lucky enough to get a good unit. For something as important as the exhaust sensors I'd personally order a Chinese replacement from aliexpress. All the sensors and parts I've been getting from them have always worked 💪 Enjoy that vehicle and cherish it. 😍 |
