Former President Trump has taken a 2-point lead over Vice President Harris nationally, according to a new poll conducted by HarrisX and Forbes.

The poll found Trump leading Harris, 51 percent to 49 percent. In a September survey, Harris led by 4 points.

Many voters, however, say they are still weighing their options. Twelve percent of likely voters and 18 percent of registered voters say they are undecided about who they will vote for.

The undecided vote is huge. With the countdown to Election Day on, Harris and Trump are making their last-minute pitches to voters and looking to secure every vote they can. In what is expected to be one of the closest elections of all time, a handful of votes could determine the winner.

Harris X founder and CEO Dritan Nesho said the election is a “dynamic, competitive race” that will stay that way “to the very end.” It will come down to voter turnout and that 18 percent undecided population, he said.

Nesho noted that as of early voter turnout, Harris is leading by double digits, but Trump is closing in on the vice president’s gap in polling, which concerns some Democrats.

Harris, who was launched into the race after President Biden stepped down, was riding a high of excitement and relief from Democrats. That excitement carried her through August, after officially becoming the Democratic Party’s nominee, but she’s struggled to maintain the momentum.

The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s aggregate of polls shows the vice president leading her GOP rival by 0.9 points nationally — 48.7 percent to 47.8 percent.

The HarrisX/Forbes survey was conducted Oct. 21-22 among 1,244 likely voters and has a margin of error of 2.5 percentage points

The Democrats should have oganised a convention where a candidate would've emerged via their votes. Hillary Clinton, a former 1st lady & a more intelligent contender could not beat Trump in 2016 talk more of a clueless Buffon who as a vice president, her administration has caused inflation, polluted the minds of kids with LGBTQ & has allowed tens of thousands of illegal aliens into America.

BREAKING: A panel of three Donald Trump-appointed judges said Friday that Mississippi was violating federal law by counting mail ballots that arrive after Election Day, but stopped short of blocking the policy before the election, in a ruling that could nevertheless impact voting-related lawsuits this fall.

The ruling from the 5th US Circuit Court of Appeals is a victory for the Republican National Committee and others who brought the case in Mississippi, a non-battleground state with very little mail-in voting, seeking a ruling by a far-right circuit court friendly to their arguments.

Democrats and voting rights advocates fear that a ruling in Republicans’ favor will be used to boost challenges to late-arriving ballots in other states, which could make the difference if the margins are tight in key races.

“Congress statutorily designated a singular ‘day for the election’ of members of Congress and the appointment of presidential electors,” the 5th Circuit panel said. “Text, precedent, and historical practice confirm this ‘day for the election’ is the day by which ballots must be both cast by voters and received by state officials.”

Among the states that allow for late-arriving ballots are Nevada, Ohio and Virginia, as does Maryland, the site of a competitive Senate race.

Also allowing for post-election ballot receipt is California and New York, both states that could make a major difference in which party controls the House of Representatives.

Even as the ruling has no immediate effect on the coming election, it could help propel any legal challenges that Republicans seek to bring against any of the roughly other 20 states and jurisdictions that count ballots arriving after Election Day. Nevada’s policies allowing the late arrival of mail ballots are already being challenged in state and federal court by Republicans, but courts in those cases so far have rejected those arguments.
