jmaine:Keep choosing and picking. Let me quote you: "Nigerians are among the largest spenders of their income on food with a whooping 54.9%... Yet, you decide to insult others who made a valid claim on the relative cheap food in the advanced societies gulping 5 -6% of their income. How is that comparable? " Why didn't you compare the taxes they pay in advanced countries to what you pay in Nigeria? Why didn't you consider the bills in advanced countries to what you pay in Nigeria ? I put it to you directly, what have you contributed in your personal capacity to advance the fortune of your country of birth, Nigeria? Nothing, I bet. Yet you have the effrontery to spit nonsense here. Since you want to deal in statistics, check the attached which depict the current population in the UK and the number of people below the poverty threshold.

MT:A very Pedestrian thought process. The minimum wage of Nigeria is $42 dollars PER MONTH, what is the minimum hourly rate of those nations. In addition, you seriously and confidently want to compare the GDP per capita of UK of approximately $51,000 to that of Nigeria. Are you for real? LoL. And to your other baseless question. I am a tax paying law-abiding Nigerian. It's the function of the government at all levels to make my living condition and that of every other law-abiding taxpayer better and more habitable. Don't come here trying to dazzle anyone with fables that can easily be quashed in a heartbeat. |

jmaine:So you spotted your own folly eventually. Why did you write epistle comparing Nigeria to advanced societies? I intentionally quoted what I quoted to tell you they have staggering poverty rate in advanced countries as well. Do not even change the narratives, I put it out to you, what's responsible for your failure in Nigeria? It is time to stop being generalistic. |

jmaine:So says someone who is jobless in Nigeria So says someone who is blaming Nigeria but himself over his failure in life. John F. Kennedy says - "Ask not what your country can do for you- ask what you can do for your country. " Dead weight Someone who has never paid Tax in his entire miserable life. |

MT:What staggering poverty rates? C'mon get out of here. don't be ridiculous. Imagine trying to compare a $51,000 GDP per capita economy with ours. Please have some shame. |

jmaine:I have your time. In Nigeria's case , you will say Nigeria GDP per capita means nothing to you. It turns to UK own, you become epileptic. UK is roughly 69 million in population and 12 million are below the poverty. I quoted to you from the House of Common Library, yet you are still defending the indefensible. Get out of here, numbskull |

jmaine:You are quite irrelevant to Nigeria. You dont need to re-emphasise it, I know you are jobless hence your blame on Nigeria for your misfortune. That is why you are blaming Nigeria for your woes. You have zero value. Absolutely none. You will cry and wail tire. Why are you always sad and miserable anytime you are told some people are making it in Nigeria ?. You want to create a blanket impression of poverty for everyone. It is you that everything has shattered for. Some individuals are still making it in Nigeria. Deal with it |

Kongaone:Just try to ensure the PhD is funded. It's not easy to do a full-time PhD in the UK without any kind of funding even partial, as you will need lots of time commitment especially if your supervisory team are very demanding. Remember you have to pay fees, house rent for a flat, bills and still feed if you have children. What your spouse earns as dependent may not be enough to go round for all of you. |

Nigeria would be better if people running away could do even just half of what you posted Sir. Our government get their fault, so also are our people. |

MT:I seriously doubt you are a tech boy because your analytical mind is too poor and basic to be worth engaging. In the UK, 12 m out of 69 m is approximately 17.39% with a better standard of living and a life expectancy of 81.92 years.. In Nigeria, 129 m out of 200m is approximately 64.5% with a worse standard of living and a life expectancy of 56.05 years. Which of them can be termed staggering? A poverty rate of under 20% cannot be termed staggering. Nigeria with a poverty rate of approximately 65% is not only staggering, but equally alarming, and shocking. All indicators of a FAILING STATE. Hello guyz, you are better off not engaging this guy, because he is very deficient in engaging in an intellectual discourse and can't back up the tripe he has been spewing since. Likely a young lad still suckling from his parent's I rest my case with this indelible quote "Empty Barrels make the Loudest Noise" |

MT:Something is wrong with me? Lmao Ok I agree that I am a mad man. Are you happy now? ![]() So back to the crux of the matter. You posted an outdated article to yapp your mouth that I am lying. Lol ![]() Oya, check this imf website and see what our current GDP is. Divide it by our current population and tell me what the GDP per capita is. https://www.imf.org/external/datamapper/NGDPD@WEO/ZAF/EGY/DZA/NGA/MAR/ETHI am waiting for your answer. Olodo |

lastkingsman:At the bolded, truly you are. No apologies, I don't dialogue with a mad man as two of us cannot be mad together. You have stated your wishes for yourself, I can only help you with a loud "amen" |

MT:Oh, you can't do simple calculation? Lmao ![]() I thought you said I was lying about our GDP per capita? Olodo. You are here yapping your mouth about being an outlier but you can't even do a simple research and calculation. |

MT:You countered his point about government jobs requiring connections. You then buttressed that same point that connection is required abroad just like Nigeria. ![]() For cleaning and government jobs in Nigeria, who do you know that got theirs via Linkedin? Did you say "employers will be chasing you up and down"? In this Nigeria?? 😂😂😂 |

fullclub:You are very correct bro. As someone who was once in a similar situation, I can boldly confirm this claim. They will always give one excuse or the other like 'I am looking for my house rent, or I just paid for my post study' And I don't blame them because many would abuse the privilege if their request was granted. Last Las na who God help ma him make am... 🙌 |

fullclub:A piece of advice living & working in the England, If you can find a part time VA or Data Entry remote job online on Upwork that pays you in $1000 per month from other countries into your Revolut or Transfer Wise account, so you can beat the tax system in England because if you're working overtime doing support jobs then more tax goes to HMRC, beat the system and get your money up. |

I will continue to say this, before you japa make sure you have a skill. The more skills you have the better because if one no enter, another will enter. Before you know it, one at most two years, you don de send money home. |
