Blazetrailer:Just imagine! How can a country be successful with people born only with insult reasoning rather than being productive. Has Nigeria passed through 1/3 of what other countries experienced before they were ok? Have you asked your LG chairman how he spent the allocations? Purchasing power indeed. |

How do you even comment when you dont have an understanding of what is being discussed. Local government or state governments dont have control over the fiscal and monetary policies of a country ...inflation and economic woes are direct results of poor choices of the central government. And we are talking about inflation here.....so how does a local government come into it?? phemray: |

Im just seeing only English The big question here is : how has all these affected the very Nigerians that voted and did not vote for him? |

Blazetrailer:My brother don't mind him They have a Whatsapp group and their main line of defence right now is to blame governors and of recent local govt chairmen. Ask him is it the governors and local govt chairmen decision that is the cause of the continuous increase in the price of commodities in Nigeria? |

phemray:You Batists just feigned ignorance of the happening in the country. If you know the heat the people are going through, you won't be so insensitive like this. People are just resilient and absorbing. Igboro orerin my brother. People are feeling the heat of Tinubu's policies and meeting daily needs had become difficult. Even the rich are feeling the heat because they now spend beyond their reach. Recently Joe Igbokwe lamented on how much he spent for electricity, claiming he bought #20,000 units but only lasted for a day. He was using style to beg Tinubu to reverse the electricity tariff hike. This is someone with affluence and required connection but still lamenting. He even made a very scary submission that the person that would save the country is not yet born. If such figure can be lamenting, how much more the downtrodden, the average Nigerians. I will advise you to play politics with sense and stop dancing on top of the suffering of the people because that would be a dangerous act. Mr. Man, no matter the amount received by the local government or state government if the economy is bastardized and the purchasing power is in shambles, there will be no corresponding progress on the amount so received by the tiers of government. Inflation has eaten deep into the economy and goods bought #1m few years ago, is now almost #3m or more today. The monetary policy of the FG is killing the system and nothing other tiers and citizens can do except the trend is reversed. Some of you are even complaining of huge allocation to the state but I want to put it to you, that is the same befallen across board. A state receiving #12b last 3 years will do more than a state receiving #30b now because of increase in the prices of goods and services that have doubled or tripled in some cases. |

Vision101:Why you guys like lying unabated. The number that have accessed the students' loan is not up to the number you quoted, it is just 22,120 people. Even at that, let us even pretend, the number of people that have benefited is 40,000, what is the impact of this fraction to the huge number of people living in an extreme poverty or poverty line? Please are you not aware that there are over 130m of Nigerians living under poverty line while over 88m are accounted to be extremely in poverty? What would be the impact of 40,000 in millions of poverty population? It's just like a drop in the ocean, it won't make any difference. Let there be holistic approach rather than this surface dressing.

Blazetrailer:Oga, you understand the issues being discussed and you said the policies should be reversed. Ok no problem since you know too well than the government in power and you can pay ₦800 per litre as Subsidy as well as encourage the usual capital flight in dollars by subsidising the currency, then you can contest the next election and do the reversals and any other you wished. But for me as a patriotic Nigerian, that have witnessed the hundreds of petroleum tankers moving across the borders btw 1am and 3am on daily basis during Subsidy which have since stopped, I will never support any reversals even as it affects me. The truth is that you have not proffer any solution or steps to get money to subsidise fuel apart from borrowing, yes we all complaining, but can complains solve the problems? It's not about Batist, it's the reality. Normally, doing different things must bring different results. To reduce the pains, the LG and state needed to be creative with programmes and used the money to develop people because even if Tinubu loses the next election, no government will subsidise fuel with ₦800 per litre |

What is this one saying? Why are all the retarded people thebm oness supporting cluelessnes and stupidity. If you dont know 1. Tankers are still flying across the borders. Even your ministers confirmed it.Petroleum products are essential to life and an inelastic product. If you increase the price to N10,000 per liter today, it will still be smuggled so long as the border remains porous, product is essential, there is demand and their currency(CFA) has more value than your naira. So removing subsidy is punishing your own people, not the smugglers. Removing subsidy to ounish your people or tightening the borders, which is the most rationale way of preventing smuggling? Tell me and let me see whether you can think. Its just like saying US should remove subsidy from thier farmers and increase then prices of farm produce because Mexicans can smuggle farm produce through the border. 2. Devaluing your currency under the view of preventing capital flight is daft. Till today, currency flight is still happening. I am overseas and i see the volume at which people move their savings abroad to store in a currency of better value. In fact, more and more Fintechs are springing up everyday as more people look for means to move their funds abroad rather than allow it depreciate in Nigeria(your govt officials are doing this regularly, moving funds to their family members) I can see you dont have the capacity to think deeper independently or you are just completely ignorant you believe all the lies put out by the government to cover your eyes. Your economy is dwindling and projected to become the 5th largest in Africa behind SA, Egypt Kenya and Ethiopia by 2025, from 1st postion. Which country do you think investors will want to come to? By the time you all realise it, wait till you cant feed yourselves and youbare taxed more bybthe clueless government before your head becomes correct. phemray: |

Lithiumite ! I just saw this and thought of you. Even dumb Buhari had an average of 1.7m barrels per day while you are dancing for 1.5. You lie on top failure Buhari head🤣🤣🤣 I mean when maalu like Buhari is better than the dingbat in office, that says a lot! A whole lot!

Lithiumite:lol. This dolt is unfamiliar with the concept of averages😁. Your idiot president hasn't been able to match maalu buhari's average. That says a lot!🤣 Liars will go to hell! |

Treadway:What bloody average you fool....we got to the lowest point in oil production under Buhari since 1999. And are already getting back to 1.5 within a year of his departure.....is it that you are being blind to seeing progress and would clandestinely dwell on negatives.....same Buhari met production at about 2m bpd and never matched that figure till he left........you can fool your likes not the sane ones. |

Lithiumite:lol. Dolt! Ani se, liars are going to hell🤣 The only path you and your fellow monkeys are headed is to obvious peril and doom. Anyone who isn't mad and blind can see that. Fact: Since you are evidently too dumb to be able to read a simple chart written in clear and basic English, let me spell it out for u..Maalu Buhari had highs of over 2mbpd, and lows of 1mbpd with an average of 1.7mbpd Your dingbat president hasn't been able to even meet his average much less his high, and you his legion of intellectual lilliputians are bringing out the drums. Reminds me of how I schooled grandstar last year when he also brought out the drums about ebola sharing faac in trillions (which had greatly dwarfed in real value terms I must add) and i was gracious enough to remind him (with proof of course) how Buhari as dumb as he was, also shared faac that was in trillions, not just once, but several times in his malodorous administration (when the value of said money was far higher in real terms) The brain rot you are suffering is the cause of the amnesia you lots are exhibiting and your ridiculously low standards and low outlook to life. You don't know what a good thing is anymore. Too much suffering. Pele

Treadway:You dim witted whelp, tinubu has been able to get production up from the abysmal 1.2m bpd Buhari left it and still targeting 1.7 by Q1 2025.....how would a reasonable person with a functional brain within his skull compare someone's 18 months to the others 8 years.....you and your ilk are downright hate filled empty heads who turn facts upside down to push your neo fascist narrative...... Nigeria has moved on and you can choose to still keep crying about high cost of rice. |

Treadway:You said you schooled me? I laugh in Yoruba. Have you heard of the phrase, "Square pegs in round holes?" That is what you are. You are not an economist. Period. I listen to the Okonjo-Iwealas, Charles Soludo, and the Pat Utomi's of this world. Under a World Bank high-up, Okonjo-Iweala managed to pay off $30bn of the coiuntry's debt, and left $20bn in the Excess Crude Account. Yet, you guy's are critical of the World Bank. In Ivory Coast, the country's economy is growing fast under the hands of a former IMF official, Quattara. Yet, many of you blindly criticise the institution. Brush your economics. When you stop being a "square peg in a round hole," I will start taking you seriously. "Too much suffering" ![]() |

grandstar:don't be ridiculous dude. Na microbiology be my BSc and na MBA be my masters, but make no mistake, based on feelers from our discussions, I make bold to say I sabi this thing pass you well well. For one, I tend to remember the pertinent facts more, and you kinda can't make strong positions on these issues when you don't remember even recent history well. I had to remind you that Buhari also removed subsidy and floated the naira, and that was just less than a decade ago🤷😁 I schooled you, yes. Half the time you don't know what you are even talking about. Our chats still dey here. No be same you say inflation would come down with Cardunce-o. I no even insult you bro, the times I have engaged with you, what you showed is you don't know half the things you are talking about. You do sound like a smart person though, just this bad grasp of things na im be the Achilles heel, and the recurrent decimal. Yes, you claimed bubu didn't share up to trillion naira faac, cos your memory was foggy and didn't know any better, and as usual I set you straight as evident below🤷🤦♂️ ✌️

Treadway:You're right there. No wahala. It does not change things much. Since the CBN was owing purchasers billions of dollars, is an indication the Naira did not reflect market values. It was this lack of foreign exchange that eventually forced many multinationals leave the country. Emirates was being owed $850m alone! Anyways no wahala |

So, after all these gra-gra, you codedly agreed that he schooled you. Problem with Nigeria is actually some of these dim-witted semi literates who barely understand economic but try to defend the clueless policies of Tinubu. Most times they have not position other than to state that things were made worse by previous governments and Tinubu is working to correct these. While it is so obvious the dunderhead is a clueless buffoon trying ti form a " reformist strategist" He has lost the economy but sadly enough, he will win again in 2027 because the country is full of these semi literates and other idiots. grandstar: |

Blazetrailer:It is rude to tell someone you 'schooled' him. It is a rude, proud and very arrogant statement. Someone recently did not know Oshiomole supported Jonathan's removal of the fuel subsidy in 2012? Should I tell him I schooled him? It is rude. You criticise the float, yet the foreign reserves have risen to $40bn. I am sure in a year's time, it will hit $50bn. Your anger at his policies lies solely on the pain it has wrought. That is the wrong measurement. Buhari's economic policies ruined the economy, and it is to him your anger should rest on. Once Buhari started tinkering with the exchange rate within his first few days in office, I knew the economy was finished. I remember Charles Soludo and Lamido Sanusi screaming the house down, urging him to end his statist policies. You should have joined their screams then. What many of you are unknowingly doing is hungering for the very same policies of Buhari which destroyed the economy, and left it prostrate. How bad was the Nigerian economy in his last 2 years? Nigerians had begun to japa in droves. |
