Drella:When you read, comprehension is very critical. I will repeat again, read slowly. In Nigeria, you do NOT need connection for getting high paying, professional jobs. It is strictly on merits. Connection is rife in Government jobs and I mentioned, even abroad, they use connection to get govt jobs. If you do not know that they create a needless position abroad, especially in NHS, just to get their people in, then you are still new to the system. It means western worlds are still looking like an earthly paradise to you, you haven't see the internal working. You will learn with time. |

Gerrard59: ![]() lol. Typical Nigerians! You have become his personal accountants to know that he is earning 10k USD per month in Chile as a student. ![]() Very hilarious. Students in UK. Germany, Canada, US will not dare mention the figure you just tossed out. Sad, a lot of people would read what you just typed here and profile your future posts. If that was what he was feeding you, I am sorry to burst your bubble. It was a LIE from the pit of hell, unless he is a drug mule !! |

LEGALSER:There must be a reason why it is happening to you It is possible you are meant to live a life of gratitude, service and compassion. And the Guidance of God is nudging you in that direction through the experiences in your life. Things don't happen by accident. Everything is orchestrated by Higher Forces. You will be a great helper to other people in their times of trouble to show jubilant gratitude to God Almighty for all the help you have received. |

Mindlog:They don't rate academic certificate. They rate skills and experience. Your 12-16 months won't give you that edge. Do you now the number of graduates UK school produce every year? The job market is saturated that you need to provide something special to be chosen. It's not Nigeria that your Msc cert automatically get you a job even when you can't defend it |

MT:Can u please stop being unreasonable?? I have lots of friends in the UK & US, they are all doing well. One even had to resign his lecturing job to travel to the UK & dude has accomplished a lot. The system matters! Didn't u read where he stated not for once he experienced power failure for a second in the UK? You can paint a bad system to look good just because of very privileged few. Even in war torn nations, u will still have some privileged few doing well, but how are the majority coping? A lot of Nigerians can't even feed in this current economy & u writing this nonsense?? Idiot. |

Mindlog:Ah that explaons it. Your role is in a closely regulated space because you're most likely dealing with minors so there are perequisties. But outside of those spaces, like in tech, no one gives a rat ass about your degree |

latiephwald:To relocate via work visa to UK you will first be employed by an employer on a skilled job that allows sponsorship. Once u are employed u will be given COS to apply for visa. So have u been employed yet? Although during the time of care sponsorship from 2021 to end of 2023 lots of Nigerians were able to buy COS and it went as high as 10m last year to even 15m. Majority of this people lost their COS as government start to investigate the abuse. Once revoke u are going back to Nigeria in 60 days if u can't get another. A lot of people lost funds running to 20m while others escaped the sledge hammer. Right now that area has been closed or almost closed as it is highly monitored. Be careful so they don't arrange for visitors visa for u in name of work visa If u are a dentist, doctors of animal Veterinarian, or a highly skilled individual with years of experience in a managerial field that is in skilled work visa then apply for work from naija. If u are into carpentry, wood work, welder, plumbing with years of experience u can still apply as this area gives sponsorship |

femi4:Tell them, please ![]() If only they know the UK universities are packaging most MSc certificates for them in mostly silly courses in order to collect money from them, they will understand. I am sure, they will, with time. Hopefully, it won't be too late. |

MT:I have 3 higher academic certificates and I am not using any of them. It was my delivery on the job that kept me there. Infact, the min qualification for the job is GCE |

femi4:You are well informed. We have lot of UK graduates with no value now. Most of them pay some individuals to do their course works for them in Nigeria. They learn nothing from the course. They are lucky UK doesn't do exam to test them but mainly coursework-based, otherwise most people will not graduate. How do you explain a UK graduate in a STEM course doing care jobs? |

diamond68:He is winning because by selling those properties, he has secured a better future for his kids & himself & can even acquire double of those properties if he plans well. I had a close friend who sold his big private school to take his family to Canada & I asked him what warranted such decision, he said he was doing it for the future of his kids. This was during Bubari first term, going by what is happening in the country now, I can say he made the best decision. |

Mindlog:With time, you will be exposed to all the dirts in the system. It looks seemingly perfect to you now. Spend some time or move up the ladder to management level, you will see they are quite corrupt in the government establishment in the western worlds. |

otherway:Well...you may not be able to do anything about this new behaviour by newcomers from Nigeria! I know many newcomers who live their life privately, but some social media junkies will always make noise on the internet. I think background have something to do with this behaviour as well! |

femi4:Like I said, in my field working within the children and adolescents mental health services under the children and family seevice unit., my degrees opened the door and my work experience was expressed at the table and knowing my Professional Doctorate is in view, my employer knew I will be a long term assest to them. They are fields that are all-comer's affair, that do not require even a degree to get into, just be good enough with field experience but IT IS NOT all fields because some are protected fields. For example, many counties and boroughs in the UK are struggling to recruit educational psychologists to assess many of their children and young people with special educational needs, with tens of thousands on their waiting list. I guess when applying for such roles, you can't tell them you have extensive experience though you have no degree to back it up.😂 |
