realme Joins Nigerian Smartphone Market, Launches Note 50, C61 And GT by Omoshola0503(op): 7:36pm On Oct 26, 2024
Over time, the smart-phone market in Nigeria has witnessed several launches from emerging and global brands.

The realme Note 50 is the latest in the series. And it promises to be one of the most cost-friendly devices yet in Q4, even, with a more meaningful user experience.

Earlier in the week, the Head of Marketing, realme Nigeria, Antonio Ran, and other officials briefed tech journalists in Lagos about the newest smart-phone brand in the Nigerian market.

The tech press session also highlighted the components of the realme Note 50 device ahead of the launch on Friday.

Speaking on their goals for prospective customers, the Head of Sales, realme Nigeria, Olamide Kaka, disclosed the brand’s commitment to affordability and quality experience.

“Nigeria has a large youth population eager for good products, but many phones are either too expensive or don’t meet their expectations. realme is here to change that.”

The realme Note 50 features modern-day hardware and software at an affordable price. And with an IP54 rating, the device is handy to weather through the typical outdoor bustles.

At the star-studded launch on Friday, two other smart-phones, the realme GT6 and C61, were unveiled alongside the Note 50.

The event featured top tech creators in Nigeria and ex-Big Brother Naija housemates.

Innovations for Smart-phone Enthusiasts

Introducing the brand to attendees – the marketing manager described realme as a tech brand that virtually understands young people. With the ‘make it real’ slogan, the newly launched devices aim to offer a cutting-edge experience for users.

Also, the various smart-phone unveiling underscores the brand’s consistent innovation spirit.

Also, the various smart-phone unveiling underscores the brand’s consistent innovation spirit.

The realme Note 50 rolled out months ago in various countries, including the Philippines. However, two other smartphones – realme C61 and realme GT6 – were introduced to the Nigerian market alongside the Note 50.

With a dynamic RAM, the realme C61 comprises a 256GB ROM, providing ample storage for everyday activities.

While heavy users’ devices tend to decline over time, the C61 features a durable battery that can hold up to four years.

Also unveiled at Friday’s launch is the ‘Power meets AI’ realme GT6. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, the device boasts high-performance and modern AI features.

With the realme NEXT AI, camera freaks can easily edit and remove objects from images. The 120W supercharge and the 5500mAh massive battery also makes up for efficient and prolonged use.

While the official launch of the Note 50 marks a step forward in bridging the affordability gap in the smart-phone market, it’s a viable option for buyers looking to experience smart-phone innovations.

Budget-friendlyT

he new realme Note 50 launched in the Nigerian market at a time when affordable phones have become go-to options. Even better, the budget-friendly device packs a lot more for users.

With a light design, the realme Note 50 features a glossy top panel and a matte finish on the rear. You won’t have to feel burdened when held for an extended period. And you can flaunt the chic colors – sky blue and midnight black – aesthetic among peers in public.

The smart-phone runs on Android-14 with a Unisoc T612 chipset. If you love playing games, the 4GB RAM and efficient processor is suitable for gaming. You can also perform other activities on the device beyond conventional daily use.

One of the realme Note 50 perks is the rear camera setup, comprising a 13-megapixel primary shooter and a secondary sensor. With 64GB/128GB ROM variants, the device is handy for pictures and the storage is expandable to 2TB.

The 5MP front camera is also suitable for selfie poses with friends. Minor worries about splashes and dust; the IP54 rating makes the device ideal for everyday moments.

Used a realme 7 years ago and it was top notch. But these companies have a way of shipping inferior products when they launch on the Nigerian market, oppo and redmi for example. Funny enough realme is a subsidiary of oppo.
