(4) Quest for Big Weddings: I advice you do easy wedding processes and small weddings. This is good, especially if you are advanced in age. Undue desire for big weddings may cause marital delay as you may have to wait until such standard is met.

Many ladies of marriageable age still have their eyes on some strange kinds of men and compare their fiance's to such. They misbehave and the fiance runs away. The lady starts searching again. Many of them are just stupid.

That number 4 has hindered many. I did traditional marriage and paid all the rites, I went to Winners Chapel to make enquiry for white wedding with all proof of our trad wedding videos and pictures. They started asking me if we have had sex, where I live, the type of house, and lots of questions. I saw from afar that all this procedure will cost me alot. I jejely use about 40k go do court marriage. Invited my friends, my wife cooked and we packed it in takeaway packs and meat pie and all. I left from the office to the court marriage and returned back to the office same day.

I'm happy I didn't do that white wedding cos now I know it's not important and irrelevant. Nobody have ever asked me of my white wedding certificate.

Sometimes, when people talk about having extra mouth to feed, I laugh. What happened to the hands of the woman. Can't she work after marriage. Just marry a working class lady. Borne one or two children and enjoy your life.

The duty of the church is not to judge u, condemn u or dictate to u or bill u but to guide, advice u, correct u, help u and love u.

The church system misplaced priority is why it is the way it is. Many in church but not naturally representing the core values of christ and influencing their society.

Even if she is working, there is always an extra mouth to feed. Women will always want to be taken care of, a number of them that I have met.

Talking about birthing one or two? Have you gone to infancy shops lately and see the prices of baby things especially formula. Before you say, our parents raised many with little resource remember their days and ours are never the same.

They preferred to be f ucking around immediately they start menstruation until they are around thirty something, then they would start thinking of settling with one big rich man. It is easier to find water in the Sahara desert than to come across a virgin Igbo Christian girl today. Because of their mingling with the Muslims, the northern Christians are exceptional in this matter. At some places one hardly can different Muslim girls from a northern Christian girl in time of behavioral chastity.

For some ladies take the holiness too serious that even scares guys from approaching them

I understand that marriage might not be for everyone, but is the girl you want to impregnate and cohabit with aware of your plans during the course of your relationship? If she's unaware, you may have ruined her life. Generally, only evening newspapers who are older and not seeking marriage consider settling for casual partnerships. Attempting to lure a young girl with money and trapping her with pregnancy is an insensitive thing to do. Even in a cohabitation situation, you will still have responsibilities. Since marriage is about commitment and responsibility, why not take the bold step to legalize your union?

The institution of marriage is weakening because we Africans are abandoning our culture in favor of Western ideals. Marriage is one of the key elements that separate humans from other animals. Without it, we're not that different. These days, you see women with children, and you don't know who the father is. Asking about the father is considered offensive, much like it would be pointless to ask a she-goat about the father of her kids. Fathers who refuse to marry and take full responsibility for their families are acting like he-goats interested only in sex, not commitment or responsibility. Note that sending child support to your baby mama monthly doesn't make you a responsible father; fatherhood involves much more than financial support.

In your case, cohabitation may seem like an attempt to take responsibility, but deceiving and trapping your partner with pregnancy is heartlessness. Taking the bold step to legalize your union won't hurt you; it's about being responsible and committed to your partner and family.

While you're right, one of the reasons Igbo ladies or those in the south marry late is because they prioritise education which takes years to attain and later their careers that also takes years to grow. The issue with this ideology is that biology doesn't favour women as they age when compared to men.

Regarding Northern Christian ladies, I'm curious, do they marry as early as Northern Muslim ladies or a little bit later but much earlier than their Southern counterparts?

LACK OF FAITH should be the topmost reason.

Sadly, the so called Christians today would see a girl or guy and tie the knot ,without praying for compatibility and before you know it, the marriage has hit the rock...you'd now be hearing marriage na scam, who told you that? I fasted and prayed, we also engaged men of God who saw same revelation about our marriage before we concluded. Who does that nowadays? They said fair ladies didn't match my star that I shouldn't near them and I waited patiently until I got my colour, same applies to fair ladies whose star doesn't match that of a dark guy. How many Christians take note of all these before rearing their heads? No marriage is perfect. I was told some things about her as revealed by God before I married her which weren't any serious issues. They manifested as revealed but with God's intervention, we overcame it

In marriage, material things are never a factor. God is the only factor and once He says go ahead, just be happy cos you'd get it right ultimately.

What do you mean by gift? Your response depicts you can't make decisions independently. You always needs people's validation or approval.

Did your mom force them to gift her? Will they arrest your mom if she doesn't gift them? Does lack of white wedding stop your mom from gifting them if she wants to gift them? Those are the questions you should ask yourself.
