I don’t support how he slapped the bolt driver!

but bolt drivers are the worst despicable drivers on the road,
-they are very rude
- they are the ones that sexually exploit female riders,
-never truthful
-Always looking for ways to cheat unsuspecting people

When Uber was the only ride app in Nigeria, those were days of descent drivers.
Bolt should include etiquette training for their drivers on how to approach their paying clients
You see your miserable life? Instead of condemning what this house of reps member did, you are here vomiting stupidity. Should we also start talking about how almost all of our house of reps members are corrupt and how they have done nothing to impact communities they represent?

Can this house of reps member try this in the western world? You all really deserve the kind of leaders you get.

I hope to see your comment when it turns the other way on this platform.

Are you new here?

Is this your first time of seeing a simple innocuous topic turned to " tribalistic matter?

Are you just being hypocritical?
I've been here before you registered this account. My former account got disabled because I spoke against tribalism and the idiocy of some "powers that be".

The fact that tribalism is rife on nairaland doesn't mean we should overlook it. What's bad is bad. I have always stood against tribalism online and offline. No hypocrisy anywhere.

Besides, I'm a full blooded Yoruba man and I DO NOT condone tribalism.

Sitting in his car and telling a vip to come to his car to collect his goods is not how you run such errands.

Lets say some home truths here

If you can not stand a vip and you cant tolerate their shenanigans, dont get yourself into a business that will involve the vips. Simple
Look at your slave mentality. That's how you people don't progress. Will he try this rubbish abroad? He won't even dream of it. Which dirty ViP that doesn't have regard for human. Calling fellow human rat and monkey. With his albino face.
When he was canvassing for vite then he is the type that wound be helping road side akara woman to fry akara. Stupid overripe pawpaw. With his albino face. Hand go meet am

Does your ride include the expectation for the driver to carry your goods for you? No it doesn't. If a driver helps you it's out of their own kindness, they are not contractually obligated.

Take a second look at that driver. Just go back and take a closer look at that jarring face. Is he not looking like a primate? That guy looks every inch like a zoological mutant.., in which case, he was appropriately classified and treated.
Ironically the "pretty one" (in your apparent classification), who did the slapping, is the one exhibiting traits and actions of a zoo.

As in why
D guy was rude
Let's face it...
He knows he will get the sympathy of Nigerians cos it involves a politicians and him
That's why he's puffing up....

No be everyday rift between customers and drivers why is this one blowing through the roof...
I think if same happens to you .you will say this too. What did he do to warrant slap and tearing his close. The HOR member doesn't have slaves? I use the word slaves Cox he will be treating his maids as slaves.
The bolt guy is not his worker he came to deliver stuffs. Respect is reciprocal they say.
I believe if the Albino had pleaded politely to help him drop the stuff at his door step the guy would have done that. And no matter the plea I won't advise to even take those stuff into his apartment Cox that may be how he makes people dissappear. This is Nigeria. Be security conscious.

what makes the legislator a VIP?

how does telling him to come and collect his goods outside amount to being rude?

This post makes no sense. Yes, some Bolt drivers do bad things - but that's a topic for another since this driver apparently did nothing to warrant the assault from the barbaric specimen of a man.

You must be a stupid individual.

SoftSport:
While violence must be unequivocally condemned, we must also avoid hasty judgments.

The bolt driver stated that he was struck three times and had his clothes torn to shreds simply for requesting that the lawmaker, Ikwechegh, step outside to collect his package.

We must also await a response from the lawmaker to achieve a more balanced understanding of the situation.

The lawmaker deserves respect as a prominent figure in this nation, and we must exercise caution in addressing these matters.

Wrong !

Every human being owe each other respect, the bold driver lack of respect is what led to the foolish Rep asking do you know where you are n who he is ?

If we go by you analysis of not owing each other respect as much as the bold driver does not owe the Rep respect the Rep also does not owe his father any respect.

Respect they say is reciprocal if the bold delivery guy ain't giving it he also does not deserve it

Eskis sir, let us. know it is not the job of the president to do something concerning this. If it were so, the president should be the one running after Bobrisky or the Yahoo yahoo boy in the street.

One, the guy should make a formal complaint and the appropriate authorities be it police or whatever should follow up.

Let us even assume the president says something on this now, is it not the same Nigerians that will accuse him of being jobless?

Just to educate you.

I agree to everything you said, but Once you’re offering a service you owe your customers respect. Luckily you don’t jam a customer like me that will beat you inside your own car and damn the consequences. Learn to respect everyone even a cripple. Will you say all Nigerians are fraudsters because of the few who chose fraud as their preferred profession?

I asked the above question because you're using the actions of the bad eggs among the bolt drivers to generalize the whole population of them.

What is commerce? Let us judge from the statement of bolt driver. He was sent to deliver service. Between the bolt driver and the senator who supposed to deliver the good? The implication of this is that had the senator reported whatever company he is working for will relieve him of his duty.
The senator erred by slapping him but the bolt driver didn't tell us what prompted the senator do do that... Whether it was self defence or because the driver racial abuse him apparently looking at the senator he is an Albion.
Invading a senator's privacy by making a video of him in his own house...I don't think you know its an offence. You don't think the court knows that the senator has security personnel under his charge who could have thrown this man away. You don't also think that this driver shot himself on the leg by making all these series of videos and comments. People are not as dumb as you think. Likewise the court.
but you saw the video , and the conversation that led to slapping ,, I wud have reasoned with your postulations if the video did not show us events that occured before the slapping ..

See the kind of brains we are working with in this country.

Senator deserves respect. So because he was disrespected, it's ok for him to assault someone who rightfully fulfilled his agreed obligation to him.

Was he being paid to carry the man's luggage??

SMH. NONSENSE.
