Exactly my thoughts. I dont know why our people are being overtly emotional here. That driver was basically grumbling all through. At a point he looked like he was going to start a fight.
The driver looked very unhappy. Very petulant and unnecessarily rude! Yes rude! Like i said in another thread, a millionaire/vip is so for a reason. It is not your job to tell him how to enjoy his money. If he wants to be served in his bathtub, as long as he is paying for it, so be it.

And if you are trying to do a job that will force you to deal with such people, prepare yourself for these. If you are easily offended by the behaviours or attitude of the rich and and powerdul, then by all means stay away from them. A rich man can not order for his rich food in a rich way, only for an angry and petulant driver to be ordering him around. I will break your head to maintian my steeze. Chikenaa.
The driver was wrong!
You're defending him because he's an Igbo man and a member of the LP.

So the honourable was expecting the Uber guy to come inside and deliver the food, what if armed robbers disguised as the food delivery guy?

It's safe for both to have the transactions/delivery in an open place like outside his gate

Many people are jumping to conclusion just based of off the snippet of the video posted by the Bolt delivery driver.

The Bolt driver was very disrespectful and lacks customer service. His demeanor shows he doesn't like his job and doesn't want to be there. He ordered the man to come outside and pick up his food. Hon. Ikwechegh said no, he needs to bring it inside, which is expected as that's why people use such delivery services and pay the extra delivery fees. What if Hon. Ikwechegh was sick and couldn't make it outside? This is what delivery service is for. Otherwise, it's meaningless. They can as well go outside and drive to the restaurant themselves.

Hon. Ikwechegh even called the restaurant asking what's going on as he couldn't understand why the driver is acting in this manner. If I were him, I would have asked him to return the food. Can't trust eating a food delivered by a driver having an attitude.

Yes, his actions were wrong but the bolt driver was very disrespectful to order a man that lives in an upscale part of the city and obviously an honorable member to come outside. If he had his security detail, they would dealt with him and rightfully so. Delivery driver is a customer service job, you have to do it respectfully.

It appears this could also be premeditated by the bolt driver, like he's been there before, perhaps, didn't like his tip and decided to set him up by acting disrespectfully.
So the useless idiot Congressman that physically assaulted, insulted and threatened to make the Bolt driver dissapear was right in his actions .

Where is the insult in demanding that the idiot come and pick up his delivery by the gate?

Should the delivery guy had gone to serve him his food leaning down ?

You people are just confirming every negative stereotype about yourselves and reinforcing the long held behaviour others see in you.

Just look at the rubbish you are using to defend this agberoe tout that found his way to the NASS.

FYI, the driver does not owe your legislator any respect. His people are in his Abia state. The driver also has a Rep and a Senator as well and no where is it said that one should accord these legislative members any respect beyond civil courtesy.

Toh

Just wondering why some people can't resolve whatever without massaging themselves egos. What's the big deal in the honourable man to also come down from the car/from his gate and take his order? Was he really hungry?

Sometimes ago, I was passing bye at night, a guy was in front of me holding this plastic cup, while trying to pass him, someone pushed me from the back while I pushed the guy holding the cup, the content was hot tea, so almost half poured away. The guy looked back angrily and poured the remaining hot tea on me, I looked at him, laughed and Waka.

To start with, I can't just imagine how much a jog of the tea would cost that I can't afford to buy back not to talk of a cup if he had questioned maturely why did I push him.

Secondly, such kind of person was ready for trouble, I ain't so I avoided it

Common sense should be applicable in some situations
Coward confessing his cowardice
Not everybody is like you.... looser

The driver is now the villain abi?

This is typical Ibo behaviour to villanize their victims.

You have villanized the north for responding to your foolishness

You have villanized the Yorubas for taking neccesary action against you after invading and attempting to colonize western Nigeria.

You have also villanized the SS people for not buying into your genocidal Biafra project to displace and replace them.

Continue.

You are only confirming all negative stereotypes about yourselves .

They will keep behaving like this as long as animals like the op exist . You see no wrong in a fat albino slapping a man doing his honest job huh If the bolt guy wanted to fight, that fat piece of shit will probably be in the hospital now

What if the Lawmaker was sick!!!!

The Lawmaker was a Cripple as at the time the deilvery guy arrived with the food. Thats why
How's that the delivery guy's problem ?

His contract was to deliver the food to the address and not to go and play servant and nurse to that idiotic fool who felt he had arrived.

Just go and see his actions and utterances and how demeaning and condensending he acted towards the delivery guy .

That idiot has serious anger issues coupled with a false sense of high worth bordering on megalomania that he thought he can assault and threaten anyone with death because he is now representing one backward Abia constituency.
Maybe he can do this on his plebs in Abia but he should know he can't try that rubbish on any free born citizen of Nigeria.

Can he try this in the US on a Door Dash delivery guy ?

You think every society is like your slave caste system where slaves are expected to grovel at the feet of their slave masters ?

Rubbish

That's how they said every politician and leaders of other tribes must die but they left their own safe and sound .

Never let an Ibo man gasslight you by labeling you a tribalist.

They are the worst tribalist in Nigeria who hate others with deep passion.

Is the lawmaker a god? Some of you are only giving excuse on his behalf because the lawmaker is an Igbo man and also in the LP.
don't you know that only those from the free born Dialla class can aspire to leadership positions ?

The OP is simply defending his slave master and explaining to us how we should accord their slave masters all humility and reverence when interacting with them.

The OP nah confirm slave .

First of all, former DSP case is not the same as this.

Second, it appears the Honorable was home alone, no family, no help and no security. Ordinarily, if they were around, he wouldn't be dealing with the bolt driver. In fact, his security would have dealt with him.

Lastly, the residence appears to be an estate with open or soft compound entry, the type you can see the entry door from outside.
Ohu, not everyone is a slave and knows how to act before your free born masters.

The most useless thing I have ever read in my life. So the dishonorable member does not have domestic staff that can pick the order? Omo! Your IQ is out of this world. You know it’s been said that the moment a man opens his mouth, you can measure the capacity of his brain. With this trash you just wrote, it’s clearly obvious how you reason.

Don't blame the OP.

He is speaking as an Ohu that he is.

Don't you know that only free borns can aspire to political office or position of authority in Ibo land ? The fact that the OP needs to explain how one is expected to interact with a Dialla class with full reverence and humility is just how things are done in his backward yeast.

Honestly, I’m totally disappointed in the guy. Even if you want to defend, there are more clever ways he can do it, but this is a total rubbish. I can believe someone will go to school and still reasons like this.

jealous driverhuhAs a bolt driver do you have an idea how many VIP personnel the driver encounters everyday. Bolt/uber drivers are not compelled to deliver goods to your doorstep or even help with passenger's lugage. Na just over entitlement dey worry some of us. The reps man failed woefully if he wasnt a reps man can he even try suchhuh Dey here dey support the wrong thing. When he gets to the u.s he should try same thing and claim to be a diplomat....or maybe should slap a tanker driver next time. He is lucky the ehailing drivers union isnt as powerfull as PTD.

The guy not going inside was a security measure.. to safeguard his own life and his car. It was nighttime.

I want to believe that this poster was only trying to look at the other side of the argument.

For every decency, delivery of items stops at the front of your house. Any attempt to get a delivery person to enter your house can be counted as a security risk.. other meanings can be adduce to it.

The 'Honourable' was wrong to have insisted that the Delivery driver brought the item into his room, with a threat to withhold his payment if he refused. The guy could claim sexual harassment, or he could have been accused of theft who knows.
