Christlike01:Almost every word you've said is true. The one point i disagree with is the 'biggest problem in Nigeria' The north is not the biggest problem, the biggest problem is the lack of southern unity. As long as Yoruba and Igbo do not see eye to eye, the North will continue to play each side against the other. If the south could be united we could drive a positive agenda for this country based on fiscal federalism and regional autonomy. Sadly even in the younger generations the deep southern divide persists. |

LandMann:Go and get someone to read the tax laws being amended so they can break it down into the your level, you daft illiterate. They are passing the new taxs law in January, it will be passed by voice vote. The next thing is the State Police law. After that, State Minerals law. That is when you will know that you are insignificant and unimportant in the scheme of things. You haven't started crying, you will cry taya. |

Ikaeniyan0:What they're talking about is not valid, come on,man! This isn’t rocket science: the southern states have more diverse economies, including sectors like oil and gas, manufacturing, and services. In contrast, the northern economy relies heavily on agriculture, which generally generates less revenue. Southerners tend to be more prosperous and possess greater purchasing power, resulting in higher sales in the south compared to the north. It's not just about population; that’s where you’re mistaken! It’s about the ability to purchase, which greatly favors the Southerners, while the Northerners have only themselves to blame for their situation. The region is mired in retrogressive ideologies that contribute to poverty and underdevelopment. Can you compare the purchasing power of Swedes and Nigerians despite the significant population difference between Sweden and Nigeria? The point I’m making is that companies achieve more sales in the south than in the north, leading to higher VAT (IGR) revenue from the south. This imbalanced arrangement is not sustainable; everyone must consume what they produce—regionalism! This will foster healthy competition among the regions for the overall development of Nigeria. The era of "monkey dey work, baboon dey chop" must end; it’s holding us back. |

Fiscus105:You've had your own fair share, too. Azikiwe was there, Aguiyi-Ironsi was there. Bayelsa, Ogun, Lagos, have all produced, how are they different? Don't you have governors that receive allocation? What are they doing differently? You have many people in civil service and you have people in NASS. What are you saying? |

Newsmills:you guys don't read, or you read but don't understand because you're blinded by your hatred for the north. This is what the North is saying: “This is because companies remit VAT using the location of their headquarters and tax office and not where the services and goods are consumed. As for the roads, ask your leaders who refused to build their own. |
