I think everyone can see very clearly now why the North will never support regionalism and change of 1999 constitution! Northerners are leeches - parasites feeding on the resources of the South to survive. You bring almost nothing to the table but you always like to have the largest share of the meal - no be madness be that ? I've been saying it;North is the major problem of Nigeria and that's because it is a region that's deeply rooted in archaic Islamic ideologies. You can check anywhere in the world with such retrogressive ideologies and see for yourself how they're faring - Yemen , Afghanistan, Somalia, Pakistan, etc.

Las las,we go brake up this unworkable contraption called Nigeria and everybody go answer their papa names! Funny people, you claim alcohol is "Haram" but you want the largest share from its sales proceeds!
Almost every word you've said is true. The one point i disagree with is the 'biggest problem in Nigeria' The north is not the biggest problem, the biggest problem is the lack of southern unity. As long as Yoruba and Igbo do not see eye to eye, the North will continue to play each side against the other. If the south could be united we could drive a positive agenda for this country based on fiscal federalism and regional autonomy. Sadly even in the younger generations the deep southern divide persists.

And when was your bolded claim announced, debated and passed into law?

It's obvious you're a clown. You don't even know how your government works. Go and eat from your mummy's pot
Go and get someone to read the tax laws being amended so they can break it down into the your level, you daft illiterate.

They are passing the new taxs law in January, it will be passed by voice vote. The next thing is the State Police law. After that, State Minerals law.
That is when you will know that you are insignificant and unimportant in the scheme of things. You haven't started crying, you will cry taya.

Is it only alcohol we get VAT from? What they are talking about is valid. What they are complaining about should be look into by the lawmakers, and the lawmakers should also make sure states practicing shari'a shouldn't get 1 Kobo from VAT gotten from alcoholic drink
What they're talking about is not valid, come on,man!

This isn’t rocket science: the southern states have more diverse economies, including sectors like oil and gas, manufacturing, and services. In contrast, the northern economy relies heavily on agriculture, which generally generates less revenue. Southerners tend to be more prosperous and possess greater purchasing power, resulting in higher sales in the south compared to the north. It's not just about population; that’s where you’re mistaken! It’s about the ability to purchase, which greatly favors the Southerners, while the Northerners have only themselves to blame for their situation. The region is mired in retrogressive ideologies that contribute to poverty and underdevelopment.

Can you compare the purchasing power of Swedes and Nigerians despite the significant population difference between Sweden and Nigeria? The point I’m making is that companies achieve more sales in the south than in the north, leading to higher VAT (IGR) revenue from the south. This imbalanced arrangement is not sustainable; everyone must consume what they produce—regionalism! This will foster healthy competition among the regions for the overall development of Nigeria.

The era of "monkey dey work, baboon dey chop" must end; it’s holding us back.

You guys would never think outside box, how you can take care of urself, always be looking for feeding bottle, I imagine, how ur region would have been, if you are from, "half of yellow sun", that never given opportunity to hold power at centre.
You've had your own fair share, too. Azikiwe was there, Aguiyi-Ironsi was there. Bayelsa, Ogun, Lagos, have all produced, how are they different?

Don't you have governors that receive allocation? What are they doing differently? You have many people in civil service and you have people in NASS. What are you saying?

Everything is against the interest of the north, payment of tax against the north, anchor borrowers scheme against the north,do you think true federalism is a joke, everything north want it free at the expense of who, north is not interested in paying taxes but you have the best federal roads, decently built public infrastructures at the expense of others in the name of contraband unity
you guys don't read, or you read but don't understand because you're blinded by your hatred for the north.

This is what the North is saying:

“This is because companies remit VAT using the location of their headquarters and tax office and not where the services and goods are consumed.
As for the roads, ask your leaders who refused to build their own.

Yorubas and northerners are the problem of Nigeria. They have very poor voting choices. Watch the people they have supported within the last 10 years. Buhari was a calamity and Tinubu is a cancer mixed with an overdose of tuberculosis and leprosy.
SW and the North also voted the failures in your region as governors, too?
