There was a bit delay in compiling my own results as one of my papers wasn't seen until after other results had been taken to the Senate for approval. It was later my result was added together with the subsequent semester results for another Senate approval. What's going to happen in this case? Would I still go for NYSC or get exempted ? Actually I want the later cos I have a job I don't want to leave now

check the date on your statement of results which contains the date senate approved your results
If you're are 30 on that date you will not be eligible for Nysc hence you'll apply for exemption

Alright bro. If u have carryovers as a final year student, u are not a graduate yet. You must clear all ur courses b4 them issue u cert as a graduate. Then ur school will now forward ur name to nysc. Nysc will now upload it on their Portal wc will warrant u to register as a Corps member. Then again if ur above 30 u can't serve. They will give u letter of exemption. So for him to be a corper he's a cert graduate. U get the point now?

But why won't you get cooperate wear in the first place as once a students turned graduate, what did you wear to defend your school final year project.
At least you should get like 1 or 2 cooperate wears and shoes

I will advice you talk with the principal to know that, you can't afford the dress code he wants you to wear because you don't have money to buy them

In this life, is good to do what you are meant to do at the right time

If you decide to do it another time, I bet you that you may not be able to do it and that's another issue

So be patience and get it done once and for all

I know you can write to NYSC to defer your service . I did mine when I was not strong enough to go to camp. That was long time ago sha . I had to option for the next batch . You know things do change . I do not know if this age factor is still considered during youth service. I believe your HOD or Dean can advice you better .

There are 3 things u can get from his write up

He went to a useless school
He's not a good ambassador of the school
He failed himself in managing himself

I did a 5 years engineering course n we did
Swep (student work experience program) in 200 level to b defended with corporate wear

We did siwes (student industrial work experience scheme) in 300 level to b defended with corporate wear

We did it ( industrial training) in 400 level to b defended with full suite

We did project defense in 500 level to b defended in full suite

N final year defence with full suite again

In all this a graduate must have at least 3 corporate wears n besides as a reasonable person n a good self manager no matter how poor u are u must have at least 3 corporate wears, 3 traditional wears n 3 guy man wear at least to suit different occasions

Even in school u must have many corporate wears cos u can't wear jeans on Monday n Tuesday at least u look cool, pant trouser with starch shirt n nice shoes

Now I know y people have problem, ordinary to manage yourself for one year service d Mumu op is already having issues over useless thing

He should even b ashamed to create topic like this, what if he's posted to serve in a corporate organisation will he be wearing jeans n slippers?

Education is truly messed up in Nigeria n this op fully buttressed d point

No wonder many don't rate Nigeria graduate when people like this op already presented himself bad

That's your school. Our school is different. In fact you can serve after your 3rd term exams in Js3.

Like basic things someone should have, despite d fact he goes to school just twice a week so throughout his stay in school he doesn't have at least 3 corporate wears

They can be frustrating sometimes. I will advise you just close eye finish the nysc at once, because in life you get more busy and you might never find that 1year to complete the nysc as you progress with life, Job , marriage , children , traveling/relocation... these are big deals that will always come up as you move ahead and trust me the need for that nysc will always present it self.

The best you can do is to redeploy to another school or find a small-scale business owner who can fasten your redeployment as long as the business is registered this is very possible. Which state are you serving ?

I was his senior. He left the school 4 yrs before the school was established. I graduated 6yrs before the establishment of the school.
