PORT HARCOURT TOURISTS BEACH TO BE REVIVED SOON - GOV. FUBARA

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara has assured of restoring the glory of Port Harcourt tourists beach to a modern tourists center in order to revive the tourism potentials of the State.

Gov. Fubara made this known to newsmen shortly after inspection of the Port Harcourt Tourists Beach in Old Port Harcourt Township on Tuesday.

The governor noted that the part of the vision of his administration is to restore the tourists beach to its glory, adding that his visit to the facility is to inspect the second section of land acquired by the government to expand the beach.

According to him, "We also have an investor who is willing and capable of transforming this site into a modern tourists center," and expressed joy that the people are excited about the revival of the abandoned Tourists Beach for several years.

He appealed for the support of the youths and the people to work with the contractor to accomplish the project and avoid the temptation of sabotaging the project as his government is determined to improve the lives of the people.

Honestly, Fubara is a blessing! If he revives the PH tourist beach he would win a lot of people over. That beach has a deep cultural significance for those of us who grew up in PH.

Makes sense, make Landmark go there, leave Lagos... make hin people leave gaslighting and blackmail. Make Igbo people go there in droves so that they can develop Port Harcourt too. It will be great.

It's also timely that Gov. Fubara also do something about the Old Port Harcourt Park at Mile 1 and also ensure that it's also given a modern fitting and State of the Arts equipments and buildings for that land there is massive to be left the way it is.

I used to go to the port Harcourt tourist beach then, I really love PH, But Lagos is the only place you see real beach in Nigeria, beach in PH are like normal rivers, just tributes of river Niger, no real Atlantic waves


For example, here in Lagos, the wave 🌊 can go and come 5 times in 5mins but in PH, you can be at the beach 🏖️ all day without seeing the wave, the wave only come twice a day and you will only notice by the increase in the water level and not actually the water real wave, whenever we want to see anything wave, we have to pay speed boat 🚤 to take us far close to the Atlantic

Yes it is a beach in its own sense but for use for cultural events and all......
I guess we should be expecting a new facelift and uplift befitting of the times we are in.
