Fraud remains fraud ( a crime ) no matter how one polishes it to make it look like a "minor" crime or just being clever.

The easiest way to understand it is if a Yahoo practitioner is equally "Yahooed" by other more deft scammers.

Stories abound of Yahoo guys who try to "Yahoo" other colleagues of theirs after "maga don pay".

The bottom line: do unto others what you wish for yourself.

Yahoo boys share their struggle with becoming broke after spending way too much on frivolities

In a series of viral posts on social media, several former "Yahoo Boys" – a term used in Nigeria to describe individuals involved in online fraud – have come forward to share cautionary tales of their experiences with sudden wealth from cryptocurrency gains and other ventures, followed by financial ruin due to reckless spending and lack of proper financial planning.

The revelations, shared on social media by Sir David Onyemaizu, aim to offer lessons on the importance of money management and financial responsibility.

In one post, a man recounts earning $100,000 from Bitcoin trading between 2020 and 2021, only to face financial struggles shortly afterward.

Despite once having up to eight Bitcoins, the individual admits that he now has nothing to show for it. He reflects on the notion that "money not worked for" often leads to wasteful spending, emphasizing the importance of valuing
legitimately earned income. “Calculate the price of BTC from 2020 to 2023 October, then you will get the price. 8 BTC ooo,” he writes, reflecting regret over lost opportunities and poor choices.

Another post features a former "Yahoo Boy" who recalls spending lavishly after his sudden rise to wealth, even renting a luxury home in the upscale Lekki area of Lagos. However, by early 2023,reality set in, and with no stable income source,
he returned to his hometown. He warns others about the pitfalls of irresponsible spending, noting, "Even the money you invest when reality sets in, you go pull out that investment to settle problems and bills."

The final message comes from an individual who lost his car, home, and relationships due to his financial downturn. After spending most of his newfound wealth in 2021 on hotel stays and luxuries, he now struggles to make ends meet.

Facing eviction, he reflects, “If I see 5k naira in my account like this, I will be so happy to tell the rate at which I’ve suffered.”

Is cryptocurrency trading also fraud? Sometimes the way some of U drop comments is something else. The didn't make money from trading rather from scam and kept it in digital currency not that they're trading. Trading crypto is a genuine hustle anywhere in the world. Stop mixing information and sending wrong messages

If I got 100 million naira,I'll hire 50 people who can cook variety of meals ranging from Fried rice,Jollof rice,Ofada rice, Coconut rice,Soups,Salads,Moi-Moi, Turkey, Chicken,Goat meat ETC

I'll open a upscale food canteen in at least 20 locations in Lagos state with a distinct brand( The brand could be the name, design or advert style)

I'll focus on quality instead of quantity.... Nigerians love to buy expensive stuffs as long as they know you don't compromise.

For example,I could sell a piece of grilled turkey for 12,000 naira and people will buy it or a piece of well prepared catfish peppersoup for 15,000 naira....A big catfish costs just 4k or 5k so imagine the gain.

I'll make sure they open from Monday to Sunday ( Very possible, you only need a large staff and you pay them good)

I could go on but let me say if you got 100 million or less, and you want to double it in a space of 6 months, you can never go wrong with selling food, transportation and importation.

Even beggars and poor people eat not to talk of comfortable and rich people,As long as you're neat, respectful and good, you're destined to make it.

As for importation, you can import trending goods at 2000 naira and sell at 5000 naira or more.

Imagine a profit of 3k on 1000 goods sold,That's 3 million naira gain on just one product.

Apart from the fact that such money do not last; they also rake in Curses that can affect them and generations after them. I don't see the difference in being a fraudster and being a murderer. They are brothers.

But please cryptocurrency trading is like Forex trading and is not fraud. It is 100% legal. Just that it is a risky medium of investment.

Hmm, but why is it the wealth of the colonial masters lasts and expands?

Why is it that the wealth from big pharma that is known for giving people drugs with known side effects lasts?

I think there is more to this issue than meets the eye.

Understanding financial management will make you sustain wealth for years. It will guide you to build wealth securely, not just invest aimlessly.

Extravagant spendings and living a lavish life is the reason why most of them return to trenches

Karma doesnt exist, and life doesnt know the diff between legal and illegal wealth, so there's nothing like "suffering the consequences of their actions" in this case

Say No to Yahoo but, Financial Management is key.
Karma exists very very well. No one said Karma must come through only Money by making the Fraudster poor, it also comes through so many other means. Life is a Transaction of Energies which are Governed by Rules which is governed by the Spiritual.

No such thing as karma.

Wealth comes with a price.
Every wealth person has done something untoward at one point in time or the other.
And I am not talking about wealth of I buy house for lekki. I mean wealth that can last generations.
People are quick to say look at dangote. Dangote inherited generational wealth, if you find out the source of the original wealth either from his Great grand parents or further down the line you will be shocked.
If in life you have the fear of God and conscience you chances of having generational wealth is next to zero.
the bible wey talk say the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom no lie.

Generational wealth from despicable roots or doings get him consequences e.g all this rich men pikin dey disgrace their parents like no man Buisness. Some go thief their papa money go dey do drugs, some suffer kleptomania, some have mental disorder and their parents pay in millions to keep their kids alive and from self destruct.

Imagine a whole 8 btc. He will die in poverty, it is not a curse; it is certainty. These are ones are financial illiterates and e-diots.

Just today i was thinking about how someone would just hammer his first N100 million. Next thing the fool is creating more liabilities with the money - rents a house of 3 million per year, buys a 20 million car, buys latest iphone, carry olosho etc

When my first thought is to invest that money, to create a stream of income: even if its money market. Then cut my coat according to that income stream.

Poverty is in people destiny no matter what they do. Smh.

Lastly, money gotten from fraudulent means would always turn to fire and consume its keeper and everything he owns. It’s in the good book.

It’s a real conservative investment fund, your money used to investment in low risk instruments like treasury bills, commercial papers etc.

It is doing about 20% per annum now, which is a pretty decent return for a low risk investment.

You can get started for a little as 5k. Just imagine it like a current bank account, where your money grows.

I would recommend Stanbic IBTC Asset Manager or FBNQuest Asset Management (Stanbic is baba for operational efficiency - getting money in and out: nowadays FBNQ seem to be offering better returns and i see they also making effort to fix their operational efficiency too).

God bless.
