Before you have children, please plan and think very well. Because when they come, it is another story. Those who know go tell you. Anyone who is surviving this economy with 2 children or more, please I respect you very well. In fact, you get one child, you are really trying well. Money for you is now for your child. I do not blame anyone who want do DNA for paternity test, if you get doubt, please go ahead and do DNA. So at least you self know that na your pikin, not someone else.

There's nothing we can do about it.

If you are a lazy type, you will only complain about the effect of the economy. But if you're not lazy, you can venture into other things to generate additional income to assist the home. Or involve your wife with a petty business to assist financially.

NOBODY wants to admit it but children are a LUXURY.

But it's NOT socially acceptable to say "poor people should NOT have children".
Yet, that's the TRUTH.

You live from hand to mouth and you still add kids into the equation. Hoping that you'll somehow "manage" or that "God will provide".

That's stupid and wicked.
Plus, completely UNFAIR to the child.

Before you have children, you should have financial CUSHIONS. And your cushions MUST have cushions.

Instead, you'll see a private school teacher married to a private school teacher with FIVE kids and another on the way.

It's MADNESS all the way!

Children are more like to be liability especially from 0 to 20 years, you'll be taking care of that child in every aspect.

Kudos to the amazing parents out there, may God bless them, it's not easy to raise children, because it comes with lots of responsibility.

This your assertion means anyone who fails in his venture is lazy because at the end of the venture it will lead him to little or no money. People who think like this have never been to the other world.

I have been to the dark world and I am now in the beautiful world, what I did in the last was far greater than what I do now but I come home with 7 digits but never saw 6 digits while doing everything possible to make ends meet. As a matter of fact people around me will call me lazy but unknown to them my earnings is more than theirs by ten times.

You need to understand others struggles before you starts using a shaming word like lazy else you may not be depicting the right scenario.

Thinking about it, I think I am more of an Agnost. I don't believe in fairy tales and If I have to believe in anything, I will take African religions over any Abrahamic religions.

Well, according to the Quran that I studied; “wealth” in all its possible forms is a thing created by Allah, and is, in principle His "property". Allah gives wealth freely to whomever he chooses. Muslims are thereby encouraged to seek wealth in lawful means (Halal) as against illegal means (Haram).

I totally respect the religious beliefs of others, I was a strong Christian most of my life, I preach and do morning cries until I had the opportunity to travel round the world and closely observe religion of other cultures.
Over 80% of my post on NL are for trolling so don't take it seriously, I am merely having fun.

You have a point but honestly, I am a proponent of reforming our religious to make it more dynamic as I see Abrahamic religion as a tool for control and subjugation of Africans.

Why should we make fun of the concept of Oduduwa coming down from heaven but are quick to believe that Jesus was taken into heaven or the Muhamad(Pbuh), rose a donkey into into heaven?

African beliefs in Abrahamic religions are deeply rooted inferiority complex or white worship where we always prefer foreign ideologies as superior.

You're right

One honest truth which people shy away from is that, no matter how poor one is, you can always cater for one kid. But the problem is, in Nigeria, most poor folks have at least 7 kids. As for me, it's one kid or nothing. I don't have the strength to do overload.
