It's not transport but the agberos. Between Edo and Lagos are at least 2 states and the local agberos demand settlement in each state, that's why food is so expensive.

Each time I tell people that doing fine boi in the city will not improve their standard of living, they will think I am abusing them.

The people in smaller towns and even villages live far better standard of living than those forcing themselves to be in many cities.

The air in these places are cleaner, traffic is non existent so fuel last longer etc.

People want people in villages to stress themselves and farm and then come and sell it cheap for them in the city where they are doing fine boi.... E non de work like that

Edo state is the land of plantain. During my days at Benin, plantain was one of the food I really enjoyed. 5 was 100naira then.

In Benin City wether it is in season or not, the greedy market women would sell that for 5k or 6k.

When I say they are ripping people of their money in Lagos people don’t understand. People going to villages to buy food stuffs to sell in cities are wicked. A tuber of yam is 500 in villages but in Lagos they are selling a tuber of yam 5000. Nigerians are wicked.

She has other things to deal with like transport to the market, condiments for food etc etc. Every single person in this country is affected by the fuel price hike and inflation.

It's also cheap here in my region in Cross River State.

It's plantain and banana season, I actually don't buy plantain and banana because we have a plantain and banana farm.
Almost all matured plantain and banana succer is already bringing forth plantain or banana.

Plantain only gets costly around here when it's out of season.

This is true, its plaintain season in edo state, very cheap and fleshy, na transportation wahala make am too cost when taken to other states
