You are all "olórí burú kú"... Why is everything about this dangerous Dangote's fuel so shrouded in secrecy... Instead of telling us the actual price of it... The werey is assuming. None of you feel for the masses. It's all about the profits. |

Not Dangote fault,..it's the high exchange rate of 1700 naira to a dollar that is causing the high costs of fuel..the federal government should find a way to appreciate the naira against the dollars..to crash the dollars...if the exchange rate is like from 800 naira to a dollar and below the price of fuel will come down and be cheap ... |

Some people are holding Dangote hostage on this pricing issue, if he is giving free hand he will bring the price down but there is one evil in Dangote if allowed to come out he will still drive out other investors out of fuel business. Very delicate situation. In-between devils and the red sea, God have mercy on us Nigerians |

As of last week the price was 995 according to the writer. That means the price is known to IPMAN Ttalk: |

That’s why they import adulterated fuel—it’s cheaper. I haven’t seen any of these marketers refute the claim that the fuel they import is of better quality. |

The almighty PMS will soon become like mobile telecommunications whereby there's a competition between the service providers on which the subscribers are able to rationally decide to take service. |

Golan007:Is your head paining you? Who's asking for subsidy here? So you didn't read where he talked about deregulation. And for ignorant ones like you government don't pay any marketer or importer subsidy. Subsidy was last done on fuel imports by NNPC or do I say NNPC underwrites the price, if you know what that term means. |

Dangote has always been a monopolistic personality. A brutal one for that matter. Same thing he did with cement. Cement Nigeria was far costlier all the time than cost of same product in most countries including African countries. |
| Re: Price Of Dangote’s Fuel Higher Than Other Sources, We Have To Pity Nigerians by Inosky: 6:18am On Nov 02, 2024 |
Dangote is just taking advantage of Nigeria. The man is greedy, this same refinery they used party of Nigeria money through Buhari to build with no interest attached is of no value to Nigeria if the products are more expensive than what's gotten out. Greedy rich man. You sell crude in Naira to Dangote, he's expected to bring the price down selling to Nigerians and expected make such there no scarcity of the product in Nigeria before he can sell outside. These are what supposed to be the agreement or the government should sanction the greedy rich man. |

DANGOTE, OUR SUPER ENTREPRENEUR SHOULD DO PROPER COST REDUCTION SURGERY TO HIS BUSINESSES, PAY LOCAL SALARIES AND WAGES AND PAY REASONABLE PRICES FOR ALL HIS MATERIAL AND OVERHEAD INPUTS. ALL WE ARE SAYING IS THAT PETROL SHOULD NOT SELL MORE THAN N500 PER LITER IN ANY FILLING OUTPOSTS. |

I know most people writing cannot sustain a million-naira micro-business, yet they think they have the balls to call Dangote to order or reveal his price. Go check their profiles; many of them are 2k beggers but think they have a tangible say in a complex economics like this. The IP people are fighting for their deep pockets, and Dangote will fill those up if he decides to run at a loss. In summary, petrol went from N200+ to N1,000+ within 2 months and Nigeria didn't end. I bought a lot at N1,200+. There is no harm if goes up by N200 more if they buy from Dangote. We'll all survive it. Meanwhile, buying from him will reduce imports massively ($7.7B in 2023) which may potentially help the naira appreciate and hence; lower the price of fuel later. |

Cheaper petrol = low-quality petrol = combustion problems in cars = environmental problems = poor air quality. Your engine is misbehaving, your generator is accumulating carbon, etc is caused by the cheaper fuel the majority are clamouring for. Nigeria is the dumping ground for too much stuff other nations won't even approve. The tides will turn sooner or later as they'll all crash and 90% of all fuel products in Nigeria will be bought from Dangote. |
| Re: Price Of Dangote’s Fuel Higher Than Other Sources, We Have To Pity Nigerians by Teymanhenry(f): 6:11pm On Nov 02, 2024 |
nairalanda1:I don't believe that's true. If only fuel subsidy was removed and the FG support increase in exportations and promotion of locally produced commodities our currency will be more valuable. One thing I know is that you can't borrow another country's monetary policy and expect it to work in Nigeria. We have our own local challenges which might inhibit the borrowed culture. Brazil, Argentina and even the great Russia tried doing just that and failed. They only excelled when they came out with policies perculliar to thier problems . |
