That's the bitter truth! Cause without going through the wards it isn't possible to be called a party member in the first place! The court was going to trash that brainless affidavit in the first place so Fubara and his guys needs something else to hold on to... By the day the commissioner of Justice on rivers is trying to tell these blockheads they don't have a case but they won't listen...

They will soon be joined by others who will be tired of the embarrassment and shame from their former party.

The argument that they have not registered in their various wards as members of the APC is inconsequential. Membership in a political party shouldn’t be until one registers in his or her ward. In the house of assembly,a defector would pack his luggage and move over to the side or aisle where his or her party members are seated. He or she doesn’t wait until he or she registers in his or her ward before he or she moves over or participates in the activities of his or her new party.

Wike's politics is a child play compared to those of the matured politicians in Nigeria.

Don’t know why you’re getting your knickers in a twist! Was my post referring to the legality or the shamelessness of the issue!?

You lot think you’re talking to kids here that you can try and confuse with your legal mumbo-jumbo! Those ‘requirements for being deemed to have legally left a political party’ that you mentioned, are they exhaustive? Are you telling me that in all cases in the practice of partisan politics in Nigeria, that this is how one waves bye-bye to a political party they’re leaving….ie, pen a letter detailing their intention!? Where did you see this ‘golden rule’!? Care to provide a link!? So what if a member dies…..will their ghost write the letter and send via some spirit-world post-office medium to the earthly world!? If your resignation list doesn’t include leaving by reasons of death or incapacitation, then it’s by no means exhaustive and that means other means of being deemed to have left a political-party can be considered….and what other means can show clear intent than a video recording and swearing a affidavit in court!? A letter or paper with a signature can even be forged!

Your analogy of swearing affidavit to gain American citizenship is lame and not applicable in this situation, and i’ll tell you why! Swearing a affidavit that you’ve LEFT a political-party doesn’t require any documents or acceptance from the party you’re leaving for you to leave! You don’t need their blessing to leave! It’s akin to when you want to resign from an organisation, you don’t need their blessing to leave…unless of course you’re their slave! You just notify them either by lettter, whatsapp, phone or you just up and leave and they will deem it that you’ve resigned your employment by not showing up! On the other hand, swearing a affidavit with the aim of being considered a American citizen is madness in your part because you need the other party to accept your action! You get me! You can’t become a American citizen until the party granting said citizenship is satisfied you’ve fulfilled all requirements stipulated by them!

Now on the other leg of the issue, as to whether the rogue, partyless assembly members joined APC….Governor Fubara and his legal team need not lose any sleep over that one! That should be the headache of the rogue assembly members….THEY used their own mouths to ruin their political career by declaring they’ve left PDP! They jumped and were not pushed! If their lawyers now want to argue that they didn’t join APC because they didn’t go through the proper route, then based on all i’ve said thus far, it means the fools are PARTYLESS! That’s their cross, let them carry it! The law states that you defect from the party con which you got elected, and you automatically lose your elected position! You can defect to another party and if the party you claim to have defected to denies you, then na your wahala be dat! Them now being partyless because of their hasty and daft decision is of no concern to Governor Fubara!

Are you aware that someone who does not pay his membership dues for a specified period is no longer a member of the party
If you swear that you're a US citizen while you're not, you've misled the court under oath which is perjury and a candidate for jail

Sworn false information in an affidavit makes you criminal that should be arrested and jailed ASAP.

They are not even APC members, they are Wike's boys. After the election, we will take care of them.

That is not how it works, they are lawmakers and their sittings is constitutional, they swore affidavit and the speaker presented it in the assembly sittings with all lawmakers present and agreed to the readings.
