If anyone is tired or disgruntled about the way uber or bolt have been handling their affairs concerning this business they are free to quit and look for something else to do.

We all know it's not easy at the moment but we have to eat and our families and bills have to be settled as well. Nobody can instigate a total shutdown of bolt or uber in nigeria from this thread on nairaland, you'd have to either go to their offices to complain or make the government come to your rescue one way or the other. THERE IS NO UBER OR BOLT REPRESENTATIVE OR STAFF HERE so coming here to attack people indiscriminately is counter productive and a waste of time.

If you feel the business is not paying you please exit. I pray God opens doors wide for you as you do.

Allow those who want to keep struggling to struggle, it is their choice just as you have made yours. Because you quit does not mean everyone else should join you and quit. Some actually have methods which work for them and they are contented with it. Nobody is trying to become dangote via ehailing but na where man see work do na there him go from see food chop.

Enjoy your weekend people cool

This is were you will be deplorably and woefully disappointed if you have that mind set of achieving such amount of money daily with 7-8 hours on the road driving ... Them say who nor go nor go know.. well now only you one go fill the agony when the actual time comes. People you are yeiding to their advise have been driving for uberbolt way back since this thread was created. You can't compare the economy of Nigeria then to 2024.. majority of them don't drive anymore and some only drive weekends on rush hours not every day..

I will be here, time will tell.. now only the sweet side dem go only let you know
Thank you for the advice sir. I know you have your reasons…
But I believe a regular income will change my situation, I got other hustle going on and driving bolt 5-6days a week should keep my head up.

I will be here to tell you good news, I literally got other stuffs going on and that steady income will go a long way… I’ll be starting before month ends all things being equal.

About the maintenance level, it's inevitable.
But I'm sure you've generated lot more than the 45k you spent on the car today.

Where the pain is coming from is spending such amnt at once in a single day. grin

If you can decipher or fathom my post vividly, you can easily notice what I am trying to let you know.. I am not discouraging nor advising you not to drive for uberbolt, but don't fully depend on it, because you will be disappointed when you neglect your other source of income..

That amount of money you are clamoring for can not be guaranteed everyday as NET, if you eventually want to try and achieve that daily BECUs of some unrealistic dashboard profit of some old teletele here, now your car go suffer am badly.. be ready to make some losses most times as a newbie in the game, even some professional currently can't even fix some major problems in their car due to deterioration (it's very difficult to have saving in e-hailling job). That's the bitter side of the job they will never let you know here..

Work smart not hard..

Good evening bosses, pls i intend to go into uber just to keep me busy pending when I will sort myself out, I'm not so familiar with Lagos route and what are the likely challenges to face on Lagos road....
In addition to what Doris4ever said, no road side parking's pls, only use approved parkings. When you take riders to the airport, just drop off, don't pick riders anywhere around or within the airport, not even airport road except airport park where you will be charged per hour. Always look up for one way routes especially yaba. Don't outsmart vehicles while traffic is moving gradually, you might be held for illegal change of lane.
Hotspots for pick ups on mainland. Ikeja City Mall and environs, Unilag, Yaba, Shomolu, Ojodu berger, Magodo, shangisha, ketu ikosi, Simbiat Abiola way. Let me add Festac and alimosho sha
Don't park anywhere around Governors office, mind the do not turn signage there too. When you get an order from there, let the security guys know somewhere order you from inside.

Avoid orders going towards Ikorodu, Magboro, Ibafo, Ilupeju, Gbagada express. You might not be lucky to get anoder rider from those locations back to metropolis, hence waste of fuel. Avoid any Otta destination no matter how juicy the offer lol.

If police ask if you are a uber, pls identify yourself as I driver. It saves lives. They understand from that perspective that you are an hustler.
If being held by police men and you were faulty, plead all you can but if not accepted, negotiations shouldnt be more than 5k
Lastma, negotiations 20k
CBD negotiations 10k when taken to their office 15k
VIO less than 10k but pray make you no jam dem. They can stop you for a document you have and ticket you for another irrelevant document you shouldn't have. All to extort.

Learn to use the Google map.
Always use the express way.
Avoid Mobalaji Bank Anthony way in the late evening.

All the best.

Thanks to everyone for they advice, The IB guy with v6 , I think I will just go ahead. I know I cannot become Elumelu or Dangote driving Uber… But if it can guarantee 20-25k savings daily with 7-8hrs work shift, it’s ok for me and I can have money to keep up and also keep up with what I’ve been doing. It’s crazy this days that ordinary 5k fit make eyes red…

Only way is forward, I guess… And at my age, it’s okay to fail, learn and grow. I also need the outside energy so I will just do my thing. Thanks everyone and I hope to meet and make good friends around here as I journey towards the goal…

Gentlelife50, you said I advise people to quit abi? If you can show me proof of any time I ever did so . . . Search from this moment back till whenever you're tired, just find me one single example of such a post and I promise to do a giveaway for just you at that moment when you drop the evidence.

I will give you 100k promptly. Just for only you. If you post the evidence this night you'd get the alert right now, I have your banking details already. You've dropped it here countless times.

But if you do not or cannot find such a post from me that even remotely insinuates what you've accused me of doing this evening . . . Abeg, please 🙏 stay off my mentions.

I don't ask for anything else, just avoid me. I'm going to wait for your evidence. You can ask for help from anyone here in searching for such a post if you like. I don't mind.

I will wait for you to post it. You have from now till next year to search for such a post from me. No rush.

IT WOULD BE A HUGE SHAME ON YOUR PERSON IF YOU CAN'T GET AT LEAST ONE OF SUCH POST FROM ME HERE

Are you sure of what you are saying that conner44 has never used any e-hailling app to hustle beforehuh . Because if I finally confirm that. I personally will silent him here online on this thread and he will never have no peace as far I am still using this platform.

Na the thing I no understand about the man Conner44. So much money to be made driving and he dey hustle to sell battery charger on commission.

If you allow dashboard he shared fool you, na you know. If the owner of the dashboard was making 150k everyday, he would have shown you his weekly dashboard of 1,050,000 million and not one in a bluemoon occasional and rare 150k.

The oyibo man will buy his car, drive up to/more than 30,000 miles in it each year for many years consecutively then decide to sell it off after which it gets exported and lands in nigeria 🇳🇬

Then someone here buys it and within 2 years and under 50,000 miles the new owner is looking for a new engine undecided

And someone here decides to blame it all on ehailing instead of the slack maintenance attitude of the usual nigerian vehicle owner 🙄

Okay oh 👏
