The head of that Agency would leave that seat one day.. he should be picked up immediately.. Though he doesn't have immunity at the moment, he enjoys the protection from those he helped rig into high office. But one day go be one day.. |

The problem is with the courts that claimed INEC is not duty bound to implement its own guidelines and that IREV is just a viewing centre when IREV actually has a role to play based on the EA2022. That has given INEC the impetus to perpetrate fraud in an election and ask their victims to "go to court" 2 Likes |

People will tell you it's part of the system there's nothing wrong with rigging. This is how deep rooted our corrupt practices has made us tribalistic and sentimental with our judgement. Nigeria can never work with this kind of mentality that is why I advocate for division or serious revolution. |

From their own tabulation of results uploaded on the irev, they should be able to tell us who win the election. I have heard so many allegations of result forgeries but no one has come out to say the results collated from the irev did not reflect Okpebholo as the winner. Though there are result falsications in some polling units, what we should ask is if these infractions really have effect on the final tally. I hope Ighodalo have enough evidence to have things turged in his favour at the tribunal up to the supreme court |

When u allow men who were once into fraud,drugs,scammers and generally,419 to become your leaders... What would u expect? Our current leaders have been involved in seriously international crimes before many of them became senators,rep members,governors and other political appointments. Here we are,they have destroyed the country to a level if no return. |

gabbasin:You have a point based on the position of the law. The law says there must be evidence of substantial non-compliance. But you miss the point Obono is making. The phenomenon is now institutionalised in INEC. It happened in Kogi and Imo as well where pre-written result sheets were found at some polling units. But the problem is the premium it seems our system places on electoral integrity more than any other such exercises. If a student is caught cheating in Yoruba exam in Waec for example, his results for the whole exam will be trashed regardless of whether he was caught cheating in other subjects which he might not have done anyways. Also, a man caught cheating after 22 years of marriage is deemed an adulterer in the eyes of the law regardless of his previous 22 years of fidelity. But when it comes to how leaders that will influence society are chosen, the bar is lowered to the barest minimum. The occurrence of institutionalised rigging from INEC is now one too many. And simply that we have to measure INEC's complicity by how much it affects the final results shows that we're prepared to tolerate the ones we see as long as the ones we don't see are well hidden enough to make us sleep well at night. |
