I hope you also know that the blue collar worker you referred to is also paying over N40m annually for rent (local area) N25m for utilities including telephone, Internet etc, over 23 - 25% in tax, annual insurance (car, health, house etc) and gas (fuel) over N30m, Food and Entertainment N20M, clothing and body care N15M, Family N40M, Fine boy/girl N30m among others.

Note: this is an approximation which means some could be less or higher than quoted.

Also, not all blue collar worker get to work 40hrs/week all the time. Sometimes, you might not even work 30hrs unless you are on fixed contract.

Though the guy that posted the information is living in his imagination, who pays that amount for blue collar anywhere ? Alot of white collar worker don't even earn that amount per annum.

Very true. To paint a one storey costs six thousand dollars for labour costs alone. Paint and tools no dey oo.

The demand for these services are very high while the labour pool is not much.

Yes. Average 2bdr in most cities is from $1500

We don't have the habit of paying monthly bills in Nigeria. In USA and mostly abroad, credit is not allowed unnecessarily. Would you go to mart or mall to buy things on credit?

You are paying anything from 10% of your wages/salary per annum plus bills, purchasing power.

With your salary/wages, you will still need to involve in one or two programs to raise your qualifications

If you are earning above N1m monthly in Nigeria, you will enjoy your money in Nigeria far far more than most of the abroad with that equivalent amount in their currency.
