Joshua is being petty and myopic in thought. Is he using his own church to generalize what is going on in the christiandom. There are many churches today that their services are everyday. They observe services day in day out. As we are commenting now, some churches are in service and they do it nonstop everyday. Joshua should know and not feign ignorance of the happening in many churches today. |

A country where loads of citizens engage in church vigils and more confined at Purdah or 'baa shiga' remains with reduced productivity. The likes of this Bamiloye hate the truth. @Barchanista is a known sworn enemy of the Igbo. His native oil producing area has been turned to environmental disaster through crude oil exploitation; he is yet to develop more sense. |

Thesame obi that went to church vigils during his campaign. Why didn't he criticize them when he was attending the vigils. Churches are not the reason why Nigeria is backward. He should hold his co politicians for failing Nigerians. How industrious was Anambra during his tenor. What was Anambra percent contribution to the economy through CIT generated through the companies when he was governor. Finally why didn't he criticize the Muslims too coz they too hold vigils and other religious activities. Enough of all these insults against Christianity. Even Muslims respect Christianity more than the Christians hence will never vomit what obi said |

Throwback:I've said it severally here and elsewhere that Obi talked too much. As a respected political actor you don't have to comment on everything. Today, I read where he said he was to attend a burial yesterday in Benin but couldn't make it bcoz of bad roads. This is childish. Can he claim all the roads in Anambra state were perfectly fixed when he was Gov? Obi talks, thinks, and behave like a baby that his voice is in his attempt to score political points and surreptitiously gain public sympathy as if he could do it better. 2 Likes |

Last Sunday I sat down and did a rough estimate of the revenue accrued by the churches in Nigeria using the number of eligible voters in the south ( predominantly Christians) and the figure is a trillion naira business every year, when you factor in Christians in the north it almost doubles. It rivals that of the Nigerian customs. Mind you this was for only tithes on a minimum wage of 30k, when you factor in seeds of faith, weekly Sunday donations and other avenues you begin to get the picture that the Nigerian churches generate more money than most of the government agencies combined..and most of them are not accountable to the people. That is why someone can come to the pulpit and say he "gave God a million dollar when he didn't have a house of his own".. 1 Like 1 Share |

helinues:The opposition is supposed to suggest the way out of the economic blunders which APC took Nigeria to. Any opposition that keeps quiet is a useless opposition. How do you expect increase in a country's productivity when loads of the productive force go to church vigils all day and night, more are locked down in harems? Obi was on the path of productive opposition in his comment here. |
