I just bought the Starlink Ethernet adapter for 30k.

I have been experiencing very poor network from starlink since last weekend.
I wanna ask if I'm the only one or it's a general problem, cos it's never been this bad.

PS. I'm on the roam unlimited subscription

UPDATE
I reached out to starlink to complain about my slow Internet issue, and they concluded that my kit had a gps issue, that why my Internet has been poor.
They sent over a new kit and even offered me one month free subscription.
I just installed the new kit today and I have been monitoring the internet.
Previously I was getting under 5mbps at every speed test, but now it's gone up to 20. I'm guessing there might be an update on the new kit, then the speed would improve.

So starlink ,only business plan is available for Nigerian now? Or is just me

Even when you click the business plan it just asks you to drop your email

LOL. Una no dey hear. Starlink is at capacity for all of Lagos and most of Ogun state, yet people keeping buying the kits hoping to perform magic. If you had checked your location using the Availability map, you wouldn’t be asking this question.

Your option is probably to wait till next year.

So, did Starlink step down on the new charges? I received a mail that I am due to pay 38k instead of the expected 75k.

I sprinted to my browser and the payment went through surprisingly?

Has anyone paid 75k or it's not taking effect today?

That's not even the issue right now. Starlink has closed off Residential and Roaming plans in Nigeria until further notice, because the regulator rejected the subscription price increase. Only those who are already on the plans can retain the plans.

Business plan, which is available, is darn expensive.

I missed that news. That's great but I pity the loss of profits that will result from exchange rate differentials for Starlink

As I posted in the price increase thread, They will not do business if they can't make a profit. They will eventually pull out of Nigeria if they are being forced to operate at a loss.

I believe it’s just temporary. Won’t be surprised if the new price finally takes effect by January 2025.
