I just get highly irritated with this tendency to valeu or rate a government based on how quick it pays the civil servants or how high the minimum wage. That thing is a legacy of those who ruined the Nigerian civil service after the war by discarding merit, then employed every one from their villages into "juicy" and "pensionable" jobs. Imo itself is a fraudulent state. A state where Owerri groups don't accept any government establishment and modern development outside Owerri zone.

Anytime an Imo gov builds a thing or two outside Owerri zone, accusations of fraud against the gov fill the media.

In five years, Uzodinma government was on building infrastructures in Owerri, and roads that connect to Owerri from other places in Imo State. Perhaps, now the government is building some roads outside Owerri, the new accusations of Uzodinma and fraud erupt.
