Tinubu should just focus on educating the populace on the need for the tax reform. When people understand the benefits, they will support it. |

Tinubu is doing the right thing, the only reason I don't support him, is becaause we would have avoided this issue if Jonathan's 2015 subsidy removal was allowed. But the people, not understanding economics and jeered on by people like BAT, prevailed against the subsidy removal. Now that we are at another crossroad, we can reject his proposal and suffer worse fate in 2032. See, when Nigerian leaders and governors carry issues like this on their head, know that its for their self-fish reason. They are not gathering for boko-haram, or Chibok girls, or Corruption, or Election violence....but once its time to share money or something that will stop the free flow of money, you will hear their voice. Choose wisely. |

We from the South need to separate from this people. If not, development will be hard for us. Let them go and practice their sharia in peace. |

Ndume own no pass to dey talk without action. The tax bill shall pass. All his noise hold no substance coz even him will vote Yes to the bill when the time comes. By the way, I don’t want to say a whole Senator is mentally handicapped. Where did he see in the bill that FG is taxing people more? If not mental problem, how will the north not be able to afford to pay tax when the bill basically is still going to retain current tax percentage paid by average Nigerians? |

Tinubu should not withdraw the bills. Let the lawmakers do their job and scrutinize the bills. If they find it beneficial to the country, they should pass it. If they find it detrimental, they should reject it. Simple. |

LegendHero:The bill will increase VAT rate from 7.5% to 15% gradually. Irrespective the bill would favour south where alcohol consumption is allowed but still that VAT increase has rendered the bill anti people |

I support Tinubu on this why will you be eating Alcohol tax while you destroy it up North or for how long will the FG continue to sponsor lazy governors with no economic input in their state (the likes of Adeleke of Osun and Seyi Makinde who has turn himself to estate developer buy selling Oyo state aerable farmland for housing) . The lazy governors knew that this bills will put them on their toes, take it or leave it the bill has come to stay ![]() |
