Theflint1:@ the bold, these are the issues. That guy whose pictures was everywhere following the attack on ENDSARS protesters, nothing has happened to him despite having his machete wielding picture everywhere on the internet. If u engage people like that to defend urself when he attacked u and police carry two of una as "Two-fighting case", he will surely come out of cell before u the victim |

larride:The point is Nigerian electoral system is very very backward in this age and time. The security agencies cannot be seen as being proactive to make things right. INEC cannot be seen as striving to be really independent like they should. Let these issues be fixed and you won't need to blame opposition's genuine alarm about rigging as reason for voter's turn out. Even if opposition decry rigging, if the above mentioned issues are sorted the people will gladly look forward to elections like Americans do. |

Iamoyindamola Mendy don win his case against City. The court has ordered City to pay him all his unpaid salaries for duration that he was not in custody. So out of the 22 months withheld salaries, Mendy can get 17 months because he was in custody for 5 month. Thats 11m pounds before tax |

BlueRayDick:I'm not sure why Larride has normalized the idea that for opposition to win, they need massive voter turnout...so however much a party fails, the assumption is they'd always retain their voting base? For an opposition party to win, they simply have to win voters from the other party their way, 2020 US elections had more people vote than this 2024 elections, which means Trump won by having people that voted blue last time, vote red this time around, even though less persons voted overall, he didn't need to manufacture fresh voters from anywhere. |

larride:You are asking the question and answering it yourself.. If your head was broken during the last election, will you come back and vote again? Just answer it first. Then you have your answer |

Theflint1:Exactly. My own is not even about opposition defeating incumbent or anything like that. Let's just have an electoral process that allows people come out to vote for their candidate without fear of being harmed in any way and let INEC declare the winner (be it incumbent ruling party or opposition) How can u have political thugs making threats, traditional rulers making threats and INEC changing rules in the middle of the match; yet u expect people to trust the system? I'm sure even some people who wanted to vote APC in the east didn't come out because they fear their own neighbors and political thugs will harm them if they do say. It's similar to what happened in other parts of the country. People can always change their minds about a political party and its candidates; let's have a system that allows them express their choice without fear and without possibility of the electoral umpire messing up. Things will definitely change for good. |

You guys are arguing the wrong thing Theflint1 said 10% of Nigerias population votes. You should know by now that the population being peddled around is fake. We are about half of it There is no way the numbers we are claiming 200m 230m is real our population is about 100m is we are not lying to ourselves |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 1:25pm On Nov 06, 2024 |
raumdeuter:Na only me vote for my compound of 8 adults of voting age. |

izzou:Opay has over 50 million users...we go dey around that 200M we dey claim. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 1:30pm On Nov 06, 2024 |
Theflint1:We don dey claim 200 million for over 10 years now E suppose don reach |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 1:32pm On Nov 06, 2024 |
izzou:If we are over 100m maximum we will be 150m. That 220m we dey claim na scam You know that there has not been a census since 2006. 18yrs ago Knowing Nigeria, lets be honest here and forget argument, If we are claiming 230m, what percentage of inflated figure you think say we don add to am given the incentive and reward Think of any govt database like NIN, BVN, SIM registration etc. They don't agree with the 230m claim Nothing supports that number |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 1:33pm On Nov 06, 2024 |
Theflint1:Do you genuinely believe we are 230m? If you do then you will also believe all those Katsina Bauchi etc population figures |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Odunharry(m): 1:33pm On Nov 06, 2024 |
Theflint1:True but I think it's possible to own a business account and still have an individual account with them.. High chance of double counting their users |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 1:37pm On Nov 06, 2024 |
raumdeuter:We have over 320M SIM cards registered and as of 2023, over 100M persons with NIN, of which we know say there's still so many persons yet to get that NIN. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 1:38pm On Nov 06, 2024 |
raumdeuter:I've not seen enough evidence to disbelieve it, so I'm inclined to believe we might be close, or as Izzou talk, since when we don dey claim am dey come, we suppose don reach by now ![]() |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 1:41pm On Nov 06, 2024 |
Odunharry:True. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 1:48pm On Nov 06, 2024 |
Theflint1:Do you believe govt will inflate those population figures given the incentive and rewards If you believe this then how many percentage increase do you think they might have added to the touted 230m |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 1:48pm On Nov 06, 2024 |
Theflint1:Your state allocation is decided by the population figures and you think any one will be honest about the true figure |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 1:53pm On Nov 06, 2024 |
Look at 2015 election result one of the most followed elections and almost everyone voted. Look at the Northern numbers is there anyone that agrees or show anywhere they had up to 30% of population voting or you also believe some Northerners didn't come out to vote Buhari or SS didn't come out to vote Jonathan The facts are before us. The moment a form of voter ID got introduced our election result numbers tanked massively Over 20yrs later we have not matched the numbers of voters in 2003 election If not for PVC we for dey see 100m votes in Nigeria now |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 1:56pm On Nov 06, 2024 |
Theflint1:How many people do you know in Nigeria that does not have more than 1 SIM card? Some even have 4 SIM cards and we are showing just 320m SIM when everyone has 2 or more. That is actually making my point that we are about 120m |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 2:03pm On Nov 06, 2024 |
raumdeuter:Maybe we are not up to 200m but I am inclined to believe the Nigerian population is closer to 200m than to 100m . I was having a discussion with someone recently and he’s saying he doubts Alimosho is the most populous LGA in Lagos . He said he’s forced to believe Ikorodu is more populated considering the landmass and people have been moving there in recent years . I simply told him it’s because he’s looking at things the wrong way and doesn’t even understand how densely populated Alimosho is. From Dopemu down to Egbeda, Shasha, Orisunbare at all Alimosho. Egbeda down to Ikotun, Egbe , Liasu and Idimu are all Alimosho . All those Ipaja , Ayobo, Ishefun, Command and almost getting to Abule Egba are all Alimosho . Aboru, Abesan, Mosan Okunola etc . Now all these areas are very very densely populated . Trying to put a figure to number of communities in all these areas and the number of people living there is enough headache . In fact that’s why I can never agree with the claim that Kano has more population than Lagos . We will never be able to ascertain the real numbers , but Nigerians are definitely way more than 100m with the way we keep giving birth in different parts of the country |

raumdeuter:Another thing you're not considering is most of these data sources are data of mostly the adult population (children under 16 are around 40% of the country's population), and often far from the entire adult population even. |

BlueRayDick:IREV was supposed to be the game changer before the judiciary messed it up. IREV means nothing. No value at all. As it stands now we have no electoral system. It's just a thugs battle. That's why you see the party of the ruling class claiming all seats in the LGA elections. Yakubu have destroyed our electoral system and he's being aided by the judiciary. As it stands now even him cannot control it. The law protects political thugs. Nigeria is gone like subsidy. |
