mamawa123:Honestly, I don't know. I saw the sample of the cover letter here on NL and I just copied and edited it to fit my situation. see it here https://www.nairaland.com/1106291/securing-visa-france-applying-nigeria/319#121711695 |

GodGraceOnly:I don’t appreciate your tone. Just because your experience was different doesn’t make mine any less valid. Why would I have any reason to make things up? I was clear about my timeline, and I submitted the documents exactly as stated. The staff member (a lady) that attended to me on that day accepted ALL of them. Is it that hard to understand? Policies do change over time, you know. |

julietlulu:You might want to consider visiting France before your visa expires to get an entry stamp. If you don’t, future applications may result in a shorter visa duration, as they sometimes reduce the validity period if you use a French-issued Schengen visa without actually visiting France. The most they’ll do is shorten the duration to, say, one month, but it won’t lead to a visa refusal. But to be on a safe side, enter through France and then go to Germany. |

I think this depends on the attendant. It is not a big deal, but if you look at the checklist, they request for 3 month , not 6 months. Greatnewsalways:All the best guys, this shoud not cause disagreement amongst both of you. @Greatnewsalways @GodGraceOnly |

mamawa123:I believe there is a daily minimum fund requirement when you are applying for a visa. That's pretty much what your statement of account is for..to prove that you have sufficient funds to cover your feeding and accommodation during the period of your proposed visit. The amount varies depending on whether you have pre-booked accommodation or not. See below What amount of resources must you justify? You must have an insurance certificate covering all medical and hospital expenses for which you may be liable for the duration of your stay in France, as well as medical repatriation costs and expenses in the event of death. If you are staying in a hotel, you will need to provide a hotel booking as well as a minimum amount per day of stay that differs depending on the Schengen country visited. For France, this amount is: 65 euros per day of stay in the case of presentation of a hotel booking; 120 euros per day in the case of non-presentation of a hotel booking; In the case of a partial hotel booking: 65 euros per day for the period covered by the booking and 120 euros per day for the remainder of the stay. If you are hosted by an individual, you must provide a certificate of staying with a relative validated in the town hall at the request of the person who invited you (note: at the border crossing you must also prove that you have, in addition to this certificate, a minimum amount per day of stay - this minimum amount is €32.50 per day). |

regularjoe8080:. hello, did you eventually get a response from them. |

I submitted my France Schengen visa application yesterday and deep down in my mind I met all the requirements but I didn’t have a passport photograph along to the center. I was charged for that and I snapped a picture but on the point of submitting the passport photograph, only one was accepted from me by the woman who attended to me at the biometric room. Immediately after the situation, I knew deep down that the visa application would be rejected or have a visa refused despite the fact I called the call center to explain things to them and was given the hope that if the application needed additional documentation I would be emailed. For people who are going to submit their applications, kindly have it in the back of your mind that you need to do proper research and stand on what you have researched to avoid being led off by the agent at the submission center! |

You have a weird feeling cos of a passport photograph? Even if you fought the lady that took your biometrics, she doesn’t play any part in your approval or refusal process. You’ll get it if you qualify. Take it easy. AKAyomide: |

Ok? And what did I say? Poster said they had a bad feeling after the passport incident, and I’m saying that’s not enough reason. hunee: |

AKAyomide:You have not committed any offence, infact I always take my passport photographs at the visa application office so as to meet up with the required standard, one passport photograph is needed for your application and stop beating yourself over this. Be positive pls. Congratulations in advance |

Visa Alert! It ended in Praise, Amen 🙏 3 months multiple entry! First Schengen Application but frequent traveler. I want to spend one week in France and now Enter UK from there for another one week vacation. I submitted on 18th October and received SMS today for pickup so have to drive down immediately since I was shopping at ShopRite before going to work. It’s same Island. All Glory be to God Almighty, Amen 🙏

That is normal for them to ask you to snap another picture, and only one picture is needed, i did same last year and i got 1 year Visa, that has nothing to do with your Visa approval. AKAyomide: |

dubaiboy1:Employment letter Leave letter and company reference Marriage certificate Birthday certificate Kids birth certificates and datapage Property documents Other financial documents Family pictures and property pictures Self Attestation letter Itinerary Flight reservation stating my flight itinerary from Lagos to France, France to London and London to France and back to Lagos. Hotel reservation One month insurance Typed travel History and copies of visas Bank transaction explanations backing them up with financial documents Salary slip (6 months but they returned back 3 months and took only the latest 3 Months). Statement of account. (6 months) (I had to delete the descriptions). But I’m not really sure account balance has anything to do with visa. It’s proper documentations and with good supporting documents that does convince them you’d return. Mine is strictly vacation. My travel is supposed to be 2nd November but I got sms today for passport pickup and went straight to pick it up. Good luck to everyone. |

So, yesterday was also my appointment date. I went with passport photo but i was told that it does meet the requirements. I noticed that a large percentage was told to take another passport and it didn’t seem like an issue at all. In my opinion I believe strongly that it would even be better to take the passport at the center even though it is on the high side(6k) |

Mak16788:Thank you so much. I was a bit skeptical if I made a big mistake because I had to google search the number of passport photograph that would be needed for the application before I read few comments under my posts. Your quote lifted my soul higher honestly! I hope for a positive outcome by God grace |

Submitted my application on 18 October and picked-up my passport yesterday 6 November (2 weeks and 3 days). Applied for a week trip but was granted one-year multiple entry. Submitted the basic requirements; 3 months insurance, bank statement, payslips, hotel reservation, flight reservation, etc. Wishing all intending applicants the very best. |
