“When I left Heartland to join Kano Pillars, I heard the governor had approved the money they owed me. I took a flight back to Owerri from Kano, stayed in a hotel for three days, only to leave empty-handed. I didn’t see a single kobo.”https://www.brila.net/life-is-not-easy-for-me-at-all-u17-world-cup-winner-kingsley-udoh-laments/

I thought it was a case of poor investment strategies. But no. Instead, Nigeria happened to him as it happens to many of us. Nlfpmod

This country peaks so high at leaving the most promising individual with nothing but a template of failed dreams and broken wings. It's terribly sad! |

I'm not surprised Nigeria don't honor their past heroes. Many that have made this country proud are ravaging in poverty and extreme hardships as the government has abandoned them |

If you don't have any oga at the top to carry you along don't make the mistake of representing Nigeria in any sporting activity......They'll use and dump you. I would rather be a second class citizen of another country where I will be pampered than to be treated like a slave in my own country. Don't allow any idiòt deceive you with patriotism shìt. |

People are wicked. If you're not a stupid fool, it takes very little money to be comfortable. But some people never gets satisfied no matter how much they have. How can people be satisfied seeing that new range rover you bought, that new mansion you bought in foreign countries, that 5 star hotels and yatch cruises is the reason thousands of lives are getting destroyed? And still sleep at night |

While growing ensure you keep meeting people , belong to groups and associations and that is the only way you can make it in this country. Updates dey , na just meeting the right people . I met someone in Kano few years ago and he connected me with a printing job last few months . Omo , make we meet the right people , that's all |

Then they ask why Kemi wants nothing to do with them. Imagine this guy finally leaves Nigeria and another country gives him the chance. Do you think he would forgive Nigeria. Many Nigerians in diaspora have been hurt one way or the other by the country. Corruption, Joblessness, Nepotism, failed businesses due to absence of basic amenities, bad roads leading to accidents because someone embezzled the project money, kids cannot get good school, food and health care. If you leave Nigeria and work your ass to a comfortable position, you will not want to have anything to do with Nigerias complacency, nepotism, incompetence, deceit, corruption. As a Swedish once told me patriotism is being realistic, honest and facing the problem the way it is without sugarcoating so the real problems are tackled but till then let’s keep pretending and saying „e go better“ while praying all night for Nigeria. I hope the man finds help. |
