Good evening all. I have uploaded the necessary documents online for my passport renewal. The only documents I downloaded and printed are Appointment slip, Payment receipt and application form.

Please I am seeing some people writing acknowledgement slip here. Please which one is acknowledgement slip?

Secondary, which documents am I to go to for capturing?

Your application form will show voted,once approved before you go for capturing.

Yes. I went there at exactly 2 weeks post capture but it was not ready

Well, it was someone who helped me with the reg. He just said I shouldn't worry. I should just come on my appointment date.

My experience with the whole passport process

I registered for me and my children last week sunday, I booked 7th November , 2024; I got query on our documents on Monday, re-uploaded clearer documents…Thursday 6th came , still no approval
Then I went to Ikoyi Servicom office on that 7th, they did the approval, officers were friendly and polite …sha from start to finish for my children and I, we didn’t spend up to 45mins, we captured and left
Fingers crossed on collection date

You are welcome. If you start now,it might be out before the year ends,or better still early next year,since is DIY,and you will end up paying less fee, against the money the officers try to exhort you in the name of assistance.

Honestly , the amount they are asking for is quite exorbitant. I’ll definitely do it myself. Secondly , my passport is expiring in 8 months but I want to renew now because I want to use it for a travel application. I hope that would be possible.

Ah. That's not encouraging. Even though the cited that increasing the fee was to help produce the passports faster.

Do you intend to wait for them to call you before you go?

Does any one here know how to retrieve payment receipt. I think I must have forgoten my login Credentials.

Is not possible,unless six months to expiration you can start. The best is to start when you have six months to expiration,and pay the normal fees,than giving it to touts in uniform.

I help my elder sister to apply for a passport after making payments she want for capturing in Lagos state Alausa since April 11 till now her passport is not ready, she wentin they yesterday too and they told her to pay for fast track... Pls if anybody know who I can call to complain or what i can do about it... Pls help... Thanks

That's what DIY applicants face,she should report to the servicom desk first,on her next visit there,if possible get it on record with them knowing she's recording,it could be a voice record,and here what they have to say. If no positive feedback,then write to their compliant desk,I will try and see if I can see the email address again,and repost here. Inclusive of the interior minister. Copy him,and the will do the needful asap.

You can renew your passport before it is within 6 months expiry. You need to pay for migration. That is what it is called. They will do it once you pay for migration.

Paying for migration comes at a few,which the touts in uniform will still cash out from,and that's what he is trying to avoid .
