Newbies or learners in this game should take time to learn first , FORGET about making money.

I always advice anyone new to this game to have at least a forward test data of 6months on demo and another forward data of 3-4 months live. This will teach you the psychological skill that aids your strategy appropriately.

Great points but I disagree with you on some
If your losses are equivalent or higher than wins, you cannot perform any magic or miracle

Start with 1:1 RR, eg if your risk per trade is $50 each trade, make sure your lose like $25 or less...
I know you will be wondering how, but when people say trading is a game of skill,, this is what they mean....
You have to know your strategy so well that you can detect a losing trade even before it hits stoploss...(In any strategy, a loss trade has max 3 scenarios when it plays out) It is your job to know this scenarios like how you know your face in a mirror

make sure you lose less than your risk on EVERY trade.. even if it means losing a trade that will eventually win....

You have to be highly impatient with any trade that is dancing at or below your entry...and be patient with a winning trade, if a trade is in profit, the next important thing is a breakeven before profits.

In any trade, this is your order of importance
SMALL LOSS>BREAKEVEN>PROFITS

a small loss is 3x more important than a profitable trade.... Crazy right....but that is how you make money in forex no be by strategy...because when you eventually win a trade which is inevitable, your win will automatically eat your losses, so a winning trade is the least important...then you fix overtrading and over leveraging.....

When I see people struggling here it's simply because they haven't seen a profitable trader breakdown the process in a manner that youtube content would never do...I used to be a non-believer of mentorship until i became profitable, the right mentor will save you sooo much time in ur trading journey... unfortunately they are hard to find, it is your job to find them,,,maybe one day, i may open up a trading school, but for now we make money

Trading is sooo easy,,, but it demands a lot of hard work, sometimes you just need the right information to crown that hard work with success......

Small loss only works for people trading higher timeframe like 8h, 12h, daily

If you are trading 4h and below with tight stop loss of 10 -15 pips, three small losses of 5 pips means you have lost the equivalent of your full risk if you let the market hit stop loss

A person using 40 pips or 70 pips stop loss on eurusd is more likely to be profitable with ya small loss theory by cutting trade of it hits 30-35 pips than a person trading with tight stop loss.

Best option I think in that scenario, is to wait for breakout to new zone and watch on lower tf to either fade the move or catch a pullback in the direction of the trend for that day. This scenario is what is currently playing out on gbpusd, eurusd and eurgbp today.

I strongly disagree on the bolded. While some trades will print an opportunity to cut your loss, some trades never. And even to do that, you have to stay glued to your screen from time to time which isn't good for the psychology. That's why it's been advised to risk what you are comfortable loosing and take your mind off the trade. Why take a risk you are not willing to accept the outcome. I can't count the number of trades that reversed to TP when they are just few pips away from SL..

Let your profit run and cut your losses is a very big and controversial topic in this business. Cause the market is dynamic.. Some trades will reverse few pips away from TP and run straight back into BE or SL and same things goes vice versa..

What some trades have failed to accept about stop loss is that :
STOP LOSS IS RELATIVE

STOP LOSS SHOULD BE WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOOSE COMFORTABLY .


There are trades that'll literally tap into your entry and go your way

Some trades go whine you and later go your way or hit SL

Some will tap into your entry and head straight to SL etc etc etc

I personally only break even once I'm up my half of my profit target , whatever happens next is either tp or break even.

But one thing I'll never do is to close a trade because I'm in loss . Most trades don't know doing this is affect their psychology bit by bit


Well to each Man his own . SL should be what a trader can afford to loose , it's all a game of probability and like what you said , RISK ACCEPTANCE is what every trader needs to accept, but at the end of the day to each one his own.
