FAAC is a fraudulent invention where resources generated by all the States are shared according to States and the number of local government areas in those state. Southeast has only 5 States.
A particular region has been shouting and threatening fire and brimstone if IGR are shared according to what each state or region generates. No state in southeast was mentioned.

My brother from the east don't pay tax. They only pay government 1000 naira market levy fees. Ask any Igbo or yoruba man selling spare parts or electronic to show you their tax payment receipt. Igbo man are business wise and can't audit their profit account to the government. Tax management deficit is dragging African countries backwards. Igbo land has produced thousands of billionaires but are they paying tax to the government? Same with every tribes in Nigeria. Eastern billionaire are self made and they are importers of every commodities including tooth pick. The governor in those eastern can only generate meagre IGR due to the tax evaders and less productivity.

Tax evading is common across all Nigeria not only in SouthEast.

Those spineless Arewa that issued a quit notice to Igbos in the North and at the same time welcoming IPOB proscription in 2017, saying the group has no right to agitate for the breakaway of SE region from Nigeria because it's against what Arewa stands for. Hypocrisy is a cardinal sin.

GDP is the measure of productivity not FAAC and IGR

There is a difference between Igboland and the South East. Igboland doesn't start and end in Abia, Ananbra, Enugu, Ebonyi and Imo state. Igbos are aboriginal in delta and River state. So you cannot limit Igbo people's contributions to national development by restricted them to 5 states in the south east that almost the same size as Niger state.

What about the oil producing Igbo communities in Rivers and Delta state? I think this statistics is sponsored by the south west government of the FG to get more money from the VAT which is normal. However the royalty for the oil producing states should be increased to 30% as well and let's see if the Yoruba and Hausa leaders will agree. If you cannot allow for full resource control or increase in derivation earnings from oil proceeds you cannot push for the change in tax earnings for the states. That's criminality on the part of the Yoruba FG of Tinubu

If you were learned enough you would know someone like me pays all my tax to Lagos even know am from the South East, same applies to all states in Nigeria. SOUTH east is 5 states others areb6 and 7 states.

Please divide each by the number of states in each region or geopolitical zone to get the average. Then you will place the south east where it truly belongs according to the statistics
