Hi all,

My physical appointment for the blue card is tomorrow. I already got my documents approved via the online portal previously. They stated that I don’t need to come along with documents that were already uploaded, except for original documents like passport, University certificate etc.

To be safe, I also obtained the following documents from the checklist on the official website: Letter of motivation, Signed employment contract, Evidence of previous employments, Courier envelope.

Besides the original documents requested, are there some other documents they may ask for that aren’t included in the checklist?

I've not seen any recent update from anyone here talking about receiving their visa. Has the process slowed down so much or people are just not coming back to give updates after getting their visa 😁

My employer in Germany want to start my visa application, they ask me if i will like my dependants to follow me now or later. My question is, hope processing my visa with my dependant will not take long time or should they process mine and later applied for them.

Hello all good day, My family finally had an appointment with the German consulate on the 24th of June but we are still yet to receive any updates as regards verification from all the people we used none of them have been called or anything like that and we have blocked 24K euros since then but no feedback. I have reached out to the Auslander in my city but they confirmed that my son & husband's files are not with them. I have tried calling the German consulate in Lagos for weeks but they aren't picking up any calls, I've sent emails with no response as well. Please has anyone done their family reunion visa recently within this time period what is the status? I'm sincerely tired of waiting. It's been 4 months no information from the German consulate on our application whatsoever. I'm still house hunting and most landlords don't want to give an apartment for a family to a single person. I'm super stressed out. Please anyone with any information please share how this family reunion thing goes. Thank You.

Hello there. Have you tried sending them an email? They respond better to emails. So since your family require Verification, it usually takes 6months or more. Btw why do you need a Block Acct. of 24k euros? That is usually not required for a Family Reunion Visa.

Is this the number you've been calling- +2342014621820? They answered this one two days ago but the calling hours are between 9am-11am and just Monday to Thursday I believe. I hope it works out for you guys.

I called this particular number today, my husband called yesterday and they picked all they said was that he should write an email to them which he did yesterday this was after we informed the person from the consulate that no verification has been done.

I called the Auslander in my city and they stated that now for each applicant it is 12k per person whether adult or child
