Nigeria does not belong to Yorubas and fulanis alone....you people should have outgrown petty tribalism by now,,,,,,,,mbanu, see Tinubu's appointments !
Ncgga shut tha Bleep up and stop whining like a little biatch. Nobody owes you shitjack. If you want to play at the center, then align with those there politically and when the time comes, you get the backing of your associates. Your existence post Civil War has been about lamentations, despising your neighbours, haughtiness and even purr disrespect of their values yet you want to be spoonfed opportunities because you felt you deserve a chance too.

Well, that's not how shii works in this country. Yoruba was the first to extend an olive branch and even gave your leaders political opportunities post-colonial Nigeria, yet you went to align with Aboki, look how that turned out for you ehn. Still you have the guts to come online everyday saying nasty things about Yoruba. Ori iyalaya é ti baje.

This mistake i did not make. My father was one of the early post independence patriots, he had opportunities to leave the Country in the late 70s and early 80s but stayed put believing Nigeria would change one day. Unfortunately,Nigeria killed him. He died while the country was on strike and required an urgent medical surgery. We waited for days while the government and the doctors were doing their battle.

The night before his death, we spoke at length and he stressed his regrets on not leaving Nigeria when his colleagues were checking out then and the companies that trained him in the UK wanted him back by all means. I took a lesson from that. No matter how well off you are in Nigeria, the chaos, low quality of life, creeping poverty and bad governance will catch up with you one day. That same month and after his burial i began the journey to move out of Nigeria legally and create a path towars the citizenship of another country for the sake of my future generation.

Look at Kemi Badenoch, her parents saw it much earlier and moved her out despite the fact that they were well to do. Many Nigerians living well overseas and conquering the world would have had their dreams and potentials stunted if they all believed Nigeria will be good soon. I know it will be good one day but not in this generation. I have just one life to live and i chose sanity and higher standard of life than the one of corruption, nepotism , blatant streaking, chaos, mediocrity and poor standard of living. Even if I am a second class citizen, it is better than being subjected to all sorts of insanity and beibg killed in a rotten system where touts and semi literstes rule over the sensible ones and idiots, thieves ansld drug barons make rules for the intelligent ones.

Before leaving Nigeria, I used to go to the teaching hospitals in Lagos to donate my own "first fruits" to those there who needed some support to pay their bills, to pay for surgery or buy drugs. That is where you would understand why they refer to those teaching hospitals as glorified mortuaries and why the politicians and their families prefer to come abroad for medical treatments at the expense of the populace. A few times i went there made me more than determined to get my family out of that place called Nigeria. Its a death trap.

If you have the means to get out legally, for the sake of your family, please do so....so you don't regret later

The average Nigerian can't even leave the country, the economy is so bad that people are just trying to survive.
There's nothing like average Nigeria, what we have now is the poor and the rich. Tinubu has wiped away the average (middle class) with his useless policies.

Canada is the joke of North America now! The country has bitten more than it can chew.

It’s already late! Admitting people when you don’t have the infrastructure and opportunities. Now the country is in a hell mess.

Healthcare, security and housing already on the verge of collapsing. Unemployment should be another topic.

It’s late already…. They only need to make big investment to catch-up with population growth
.

I invested in that growth and won. I wish they could still admit like like more million people.
That's what usually happens when you go WOKE

Because once you go WOKE, you go BROKE!

The problem is having the means. Over 70% of those who want to leave don't have the means.

The naivety of Nigerians is saddening to be confronted with everyday.

You think they should welcome you into their countries just because you paid with your life Savings.

Ðont you realise that many want to protect their roots , culture and heritage?

When you come in with your own foreign ways it challenges theirs.

When the doors are closing in on us, the next thing to do is to start thinking of how to better our country.

Many Americans prosper in America.

We too should prosper in our own country rather than going to do jobs beneath us .

One of the fastest ways Nigeria/Africa can progress is by banning politicians from accessing medicare abroad

There is nothing wrong with a government attempting to address the immigration issue in their nation since, if it is not addressed, their nation may turn into another jungle.

Nigeria as well is facing immigration issues, but our government doesn't care to address this problem. The Nigeriens (people from Niger) come to Nigeria to commit all sorts of crimes, including kidnapping, robbery, and illegal voting during elections, but our government doesn't care to find a solution to this problem.

To be honest, it is alarming how our people are misusing their visa privileges. A report shows that over 90% of people with visitor visas end up applying for asylum.

They need to start kicking out the Trump supporters in their country. Canada is far more progressive than America and to have migrant over there supporting Trump means they don’t like the progressive government of Canada. If they want more regressive government and anti immigration policies, then they shouldn’t be in Canada

Every time any country tightens their immigration policies, Nigerians catch cold. This is because Nigerians have no intention of challenging the leaders to develop the country.

migrants don’t have the numbers to determine who wins elections in all of Canada. The white Canadians are tired of him and his party are getting kicked out.

He has mismanaged the economy since covid, used government funds to promote LGBT and transitioning, done nothing to address high cost of living while giving billions to Ukraine , housing is expensive relative to wages, he and his ministers have admitted that uncontrolled migration happened under their watch, reducing investments in certain industries due to climate change commitments etc

There has been change of government in Europe and now USA. Canada won’t be different.

Re: Canada Announces Cancellation Of Automatic 10-Year Multiple-Entry Visas by cococandy(f): 9:59am On Nov 09, 2024
That’s literally not the point.

African Migrants in America don’t have the numbers to sway elections either. But if they support the leader that’s going the alt right way because they feel he aligns with their conservative views, then when it’s time to cut off migrants, I hope they get what they voted for.

It is what it is. I don’t know about Canada so I’ll refrain from being over sabi on y’all’s issues. (Borrow a leaf would you?)

But in America, they hate not only the illegal migrants, they hate all diversity. And supporting them will get you caught in their cross bows sooner or later. It’s just inevitable.

A few times i went there made me more than determined to get my family out of that place called Nigeria. Its a death chamber. You have less than 1% chances of coming out alive if your case id referred to either LUTH or LASUTH. They barely have light to carry out medical surgeries. I saw a particular case where LUTH officials claimed the family of a patient in coma needed to pay to borrow an equipment required for brian pressure scan from a private establishment. Some Nigerians in refugee camps in Europe have access to better medical care that some of the things I saw at those glorified mortuaries.

If you have the means to get out legally, for the sake of your family, please do so, even if younwill remain back....so you don't regret later
Thank you very much, you put it nicely. Before I left Nigeria I had a very good job and the financial stability was there, but of what use is all this if the economy is failing and everyone is just docile? People pay taxes and still figure out how to provide amenities for themselves, the standard of living is so terrible, It's impossible to out work a failing economy, not prayers or patriotism will solve it.

No it doesn't. Existing visas are still legal. The writter is just chasing clout..Canada didn't cancel the 10year visa outright but placed the decision in the hand of the visa officer, who will now decide based on your application the type of visa you will be issued.

This has nothing to do with Trump. Canada, France and some other countries have been making immigration policy changes since last year.
But Trump started this immigration brouhaha in his first term, so we can't deny they saw it from Trump's eye-view. Because, you and I know that wayback before Trump's immigration policy on building wall on Mexican border and so on, that Canada and other Western countries were issuing visa more frequently, welcoming, and needing migrants workers as well as visitors to their country to fill up.
