Please I need help for the best medicine to use in my dogs… they are been ravaged by ticks! A pet gave them injection but didn’t work

That must be a fake vet....

Look for a better vet....


If we tell you what to use.....u will likely not be able to administer the injection to your dog, which may harm or kill your dog if you don't get it right

Ask Google, I don't trust vets. Look for oral drug that will make the dogs blood bad for ticks.

It depends on your level of infestation and we'll maybe the dose of injection given by your vet.
If ticks are within your premises(cages, walls) there's the possibility they would come back so you have to do an all round treatment.
Treat the dog, treat your surroundings

The injection is ivermectin.....
The dosage is based on your dog weight and parasite load....

Remembered when my dog had ticks,

I got pifpuff powder and sprayed on him overnight then use all these herbal soaps to be washing him. I didn't see him scratch his body again.

And all the ticks never came back.

Also I used snipper on his cage and after some days, I washed it and allowed it to air then I sprayed the piffpuff at the edges. Afterwards I maintained good hygiene

Go to a any reputable vet store and ask for BRAVECTO or SEMPERICA. They are both chewable tablets today dogs that kill ticks, fleas and even worms. My dog was once ravaged by ticks I just gave it only one tablet and they stated dying and falling off within 5 hours. All these spray and powders are very toxic and when you bathe the dogs they will wash off. It better to fight the infestation for within

Forget everything powder and spray.

Reach out to a vet clinic i use critters vet center. They are in jossemaria in lekki. Text them on Instagram that you need BREVECTO ticks drug for your dog. They will also request for what your dog weighs to prescribe.

Once your dog eats the drug, it goes to the tissue fluids just under your dog's skin, and ticks feed, they ingest the drug and die...it's poisonous to them.


This is the most effective way. Please forget all those sprays and powder. Those ticks will lay little eggs , so after days they will come back. But with the drugs , for weeks they will keep dying.

Please just buy Bravecto..it’s not cheap but it’s very effective and one dosage can last for 3-4 months. I use Bravecto for my dog and I have never seen any tick or any insect on him
