DeOTR:It's matter of time ! All we need now is endurance just when first have GSM operators in Nigeria the tariff was to high because the companies wanted to recoup their profit and as time goes on the price came down. Oil cartels can lies because they don't want to lose their business especially selling their tank farm that built with loans. They should tell Nigerians where they are buying their products to be sure they're not importing substandard fuel for us |

LandMann:Typica Nigerian! Dangote is not the one you should be fighting against, fight IPMAN that has been selling subsidized petrol to Niger and Benin republic for decades. Those refineries abroad that are good at selling cheap products should come and produce in Nigeria. |

NastiLord:I don't blame the cabals, I blame the Nigerian masses for being too docile, we gave them the nod by allowing them play with our life's.. while are some were busy with the usual Yoruba and Igbo bantering, some are busy watching big brother or listening to a certain idiot called Remo who has being paid to keep the youths busy with irrelevant talks like discussing about ISI AGU and ASO EBI or the Army giving us cock and bull story on how a new version of terror is emerging and while they concentrated their energy in the east, or the Fulani with their Terror gangs wrecking havoc in one corner, while some busy bodies were busy discussing Trump and America which their home presidents are worst off, and another group of religious persons were busy with the Arab Israeli conflict. While in the must of all this distractions the cabals are having a filled day.. Honestly, the brain of the Nigerian masses needs to be used for a specimen of stupidity in any advanced University in Europe. |

Proudlyngwa:Theirs will always be cheaper than dangote becos its poor quality rejected in europe.D question is do u prefer fuel 100 or 200 naira cheaper bt of bad quality that will destroy car engines sooner that its supposed lifespan or u jst want any fuel to use. |

The government knows what the problems are but they have decided to tread softly to protect the cabals at the detriment of the masses. Where are the CNG conversion centers the government promised? Infact, everyone that own a filling station should be given a licence to import fuel.We are tired of dancing to these tunes. Infact,if you have a 50 litres keg,you should be given the license to import. |

DatIgalaDude:. They are all functioning but not in optimal capacity due to the same problem Dangote is suffering from which is crude feedstock and importation of cheap and sub standard products. Apart from African refinery that is yet to kick start, the rest started before dangote. |

adenigga:Dangote's monopoly on cement has never helped an average Nigerian to build house even when Govt banned importation of cement, rather it became more difficult. Now same shylock wants monopoly on domestic fuel consumption, telling us importers are importing inferior ones that is why they are cheaper. Which kind dubious story is that? We have been using the inferior fuel for ages without issue, nobody is complaining. If the shylock can't sell the fuel he refined in Nigeria cheaper than imported ones, they should allow the importers import fuel, let the useless refinery close down. We are tired of the Shylock answering richest African on top of the pains of his country men |

Petroan is a very useless organization and not interested in developing our economy. How can an organization that has been in business for 25 years could not build a refinery rather wants the short cut. When construction of dangote refinery started in 2018 petroan should have started theirs in order to compete with him. Rather they preferred fast money. So they are telling us that an association of 3000 petroleum marketers can not match dangote that shows you how useless the organization is. |

LandMann:A simple google search would have cleared your cache of ignorance there are other refinery in Nigeria. where were you when Nnpc were sole importers of pms, were Nigerians ever free from Nnpc exploitations or what makes Nnpc monopoly better Nigerians are not fools, the people we need to move against are Nnpc/govt cos it is now clear these people are benefiting largely from importation Nigeria has four refineries on ground, even if Dangote is aiming at Monopoly what stop govt/Nnpc from fixing our refinery to curb Dangote monopoly why must it be import that is detrimental to our forex, economy balance of trade and an haven for corruption. Any average Nigeria supporting these Importation at these time is a Big Fool, why are the marketers not ever concerned about our national refineries The best and only viable option to counter dangote refinery is an health competition which only our local refineries can provide. From the marketers antecedents can they be trusted, if they are so objective about cheap fuel to Nigerians is national refinery not the best chances at cheap, from all break down. |

rafindo:Another foolish and stupid zombié identified by Dietrich Bonhoeffer. From 1960 to 2024, Nigeria has been importing fuel. Dangote has been using same imported fuel in his cars for over 30 years yet he did not come out to cry that the fuel is substandard. Suddenly, when Dangote refinery is complete he now remembers that all imported fuel is substandard just so he can be given monopoly in Nigeria. Same way he did in cement. You're a danger to Nigeria because you're extremely stupid and you don't know it. Read about Dietrich Bonhoeffer theory of stupidity |

heysquare:Oga rest The day we stopped importation of foreign rice and started buying locally produced rice, how did it go? What makes you think same won't happen on petrol when the devil himself (Dangote) a notorious monopolist is spearheading the the fight for it? Moreover the same so called "substandard fuel identifiers" were once happy, silent and contented user's of the same substandard fuel. Open your Eyes. |

iLoveYouToo:Na the rice own off me. How can local rice be competing in price to foreign rice? Even things we produce locally are competing with imported one. If not that the govt is trying to give the local producers protection, they should have opened the border especially for foodstuff items to be imported. Maybe at least, our local producers would have small conscience when they know they don't have the govt backing |

| Re: Refiners Oppose Petrol Import Licences To IPMAN, PETROAN by worksmart(m): 9:19am On Nov 10, 2024 |
So we have refiners? But Thiefinubu tries make us believe that Nigeria doesn't refine any fuel to justify massive price hikes and alleged importation and taking of external foreign loans.

LandMann:. Do you know the cement sector at all. At least I work there and I can give you some free lectures. First the cement sector has no monopoly. What you are confusing with monopoly is actually oligopoly. Nigeria has only 5 cement companies namely Dangote La farge Bua Mangal Purchem. So where is the monopoly here rather than confuse urself on the basis that having 60% of the market shares is called dominant player or market leader. For you to have a commodity cheap supply must exceed demands. South Africa has 15 cement companies, India has 300 china has 500 cement companies so tell me why cement won't be cheap there. |

rafindo:So, it is safe to assume that Dangote is the one orchestrating the anti-importation scheme against Petrol because like you said these other small refiners do not refine PMS. Now, in the past I supported the banning of rice importation to boost local capacity but I saw the inflationary effect. Secondly, during the period when Naira was losing its value, I saw how local producers didn't care so much about their fellow country men, they preferred to sell their stuffs, especially, to neighbouring countries because they could make more courtesy of exchange rates. If businessmen or producers wouldn't mind making extra bucks at the risk of their country men (major and sustainable patrons') starving to death, then government should not compel consumers to be loyal to Nigerian producers. It takes 2 to tango. Bunch of idiotic exploiters! |
