Frustrated father calls out his child’s school for criticizing the eko and akara he packed for lunch

You can tell that this is a hardworking man who's doing what he can. At least he doesn't appear to be owing the school the term's tuition.
Ironically the lunch he provided his daughter is a more balanced diet than what even the school teachers eat at home.
It's either the daughter is in a wrong school or the school proprietor doesn't have a good understanding of what education is all about.

I don't understand Yoruba but the school needs a reorientation.
The school needs the proper education.

IF they know how expensive those stuffs would cost if they cross the Atlantic, they will understand that the child has got the most expensive food in that school.

You can feel the pain in his voice. This man has spoken nothing but the truth. School owners act as if they're out of touch with the realities of everyday Nigerians. Take my niece’s school, for example, how can you tell kids to make a different hairstyle every week? What’s wrong with keeping their hair short or simply using packing gel?

For an ordinary graduation, one girl’s parent here was told to buy three different outfits. Until this Gen Z era, I never knew schools held graduation parties for pre-nursery and nursery school students. I still blame the parents because many enjoy the competitive show-off and all that. Some don’t even realise when they're being exploited anymore.

Some of these students will carry this competitive and exploitative mentality into adulthood, setting themselves up for problems later in life. The child's school in context, for example, has already given the child a false reality about akara and pap. If not for this false reality we have created for ourselves, I don't see why anyone will prefer any kind of breakfast over akara and pap.

This is comedy but a reflection of what is happening in some schools.😃

The parents should package the eko and akara in their daughter's lunch box, disposing the paper and leaves.

The damage some of these private schools will cause in the grooming of children ehn, the consequences will be far reaching.

Worse is those teachers have nothing..they even play favoritism towards kids that they feel have rich parents . We will only blame our government if they invest. So much in and rebrand public schools , we will not be facing these nonsense called private schools that teach nothing yet explore parents and setting unrealistic standards and competition among innocent. Children .. I remember a day one boy came home crying that his classmates laughed at him for bringing okpa to school .. I only told the poor boy that next time he should tell those kids that he is happy to have a mother that makes meals for him . Funny enough the boy said the particular boy that was laughing at him brought nothing to school .

This is ridiculous behavior on the teacher’s part.
